Lightining Strikes in Northwest Arkansas

Whether for work or play, we know you've come to rely on the ability of the Ford F-150 to be in it for the long haul. The all-new 2022 Ford F-150 Lightning is no different. For nearly 44 years, Ford F-series trucks have been America's best-selling pickups, but at Ford, they have rethought what a truck can be. The Ford Lightning is the first-ever F-series that's gas-free and all-electric, offering advanced technology and an elevated driving experience, all while being built Ford tough. With zero to 60 miles per hour in around four seconds, the Ford Lightning lives up to its name. The Ford F-150 Lightning and its 533 horsepower and 775 pound-feet of torque give its drivers 10,000 pounds of towing capability as well as a 2,000-pound payload. With numbers like these, the F-150 Lightning is sure not to disappoint. Standard models have a range of 230 miles, while an extended battery will provide you with roughly 300 miles of range. Not only is the F-150 Lightning fast when it comes to speed, but it also offers fast charging times with 30 miles per charging hour. In terms of design, the F-150 Lightning resembles its relatives in the F-150 family; however, you may notice strip lighting both in the front of the truck as well as on the tailgate. One feature that sets this truck apart from the others is its front trunk, a frunk if you will. It has what Ford calls "a power frunk" where the engine would typically be in addition to a standard truck bed, offering drivers more storage than ever. You'll also be able to find 11 total power outlets throughout the vehicle, which is perfect for work sites as well as even powering your house during a power outage. In terms of technology, Ford has once again raised the bar with its 15.5-inch touch screen as well as the new Ford BlueCruise, which offers totally hand-free driving technology that's currently only found in the Mustang Mach-E. Prices for the Ford F-150 Lightning range between trim levels. The standard model starts at $39,974, while the most expensive model will start at $90,474. No fear, customers looking to purchase a Ford F-150 Lightning can expect a federal tax credit which would mark the vehicle's price down by $7,500. We don't yet have an exact date for the Ford F-150 Lightning to roll into dealerships but, we hope to see them sometime in 2022. If you want to be among the first to own the all-new 2021 Ford F-150 Lightning, McLarty Daniel Ford of Bentonville has you covered. Defeat Cabin Fever by Visiting your Arkansas State Parks

It is high time to get out of the house and enjoy some fresh air. As things are slowly getting back to normal after a strenuous winter and social distancing, it's time for some travel! One safe way to enjoy the spring weather is visiting Arkansas State Parks. These fascinating destinations provide hours of entertainment and educational value, not to mention all the mental health benefits of getting outdoors and into nature. Nothing beats taking a leisurely drive in your Ford F-150 getting reacquainted with the Natural State. McLarty Daniel Ford Lincoln in Bentonville, AR would like to share with you a few of our favorite state parks that are prime examples of the Natural State's beauty and rich history. Pea Ridge National Military Park Garfield, AR If you are a history or military buff, may we suggest the Pea Ridge National Military Park. Although the visitor center is still closed due to Covid-19, it is just a 40-minute jaunt to the small town of Garfield, AR, northeast of Bentonville. This national park was established to safeguard the Civil War battle site of Pea Ridge, which was one of the most pivotal battles west of the Mississippi River. Also, it's one of the most intact historical battlefields we have in the United States, with acres of rolling green meadows where war once raged. Devil's Den State Park West Fork, AR Let's not forget about Devil's Den State Park! It's the perfect spot for outdoor fun! One of Northwest Arkansas's most iconic parks, Devil's Den is situated in the Lee Creek Valley. With gorgeous rock formations, exquisite waterfalls, and caverns, you have it all! Plus there is Devil's Lake which was formed by an expansive rock dam spanning Lee Creek. The eight-mile lake is a favorite of the locals for fishing and boating. The park also offers hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding trails which will take you to the surrounding Ozark National Forest. Louisiana Purchase State Park Brinkley, AR Another historic destination can be found in eastern Arkansas at Louisiana Purchase State Park. It's an intriguing trip back in time to the days before Arkansas was even a state. The state park preserves the initial point from which all surveys originated of the property acquired by the United States through the Louisiana Purchase of 1803. The point is now in the middle of a healthy swamp, but a wooden walkway lets visitors stroll above the water through massive cypresses to the granite monument marking the historic survey's starting point. This weekend, don't wait another minute! Pack up the family and some of your favorite snacks for a wonderful drive in your Ford truck to any of these beautiful state parks. Take pride and enjoy what the Natural State has to offer. If you want to make a fresh start in 2021, purchase a new 2021 Ford F-150 or Lincoln Navigator from your pals at McLarty Daniel Ford Lincoln in Bentonville AR! Fighting crime and saving taxpayer dollars with the 2020 Ford Police Interceptor Hybrid

Officially America's best-selling police vehicle, the 2020 Ford Police Interceptor Utility, a police-outfitted upgrade of the civilian 2020 Ford Explorer, began shipping for delivery in August, meaning it's already on duty at departments all over the U.S., helping keep our streets safe. Now Ford is poised to help take a bite out of crime AND departments' fuel costs, with the 2020 Ford Police Interceptor Hybrid. Packing a utility belt full of clever and useful police equipment, the 2020 Ford Police Interceptor Hybrid also offers world-class fuel economy via a gas-electric powertrain that includes both a powerful gasoline engine and electric motors that allow it to run solely on stored electrical power. The result is an EPA-estimated 23 miles per gallon in the city and 24 mpg combined fuel economy -- a fuel economy improvement of 41 percent when compared to the gasoline-only 2020 Ford Police Interceptor Utility with a 2.7-liter gas engine. That improvement in fuel economy will save taxpayers between $3,500 to $5,700 per year for every 2020 Ford Police Interceptor Hybrid sold. According to a press release from Ford, Law Enforcement Agencies in the United States have placed orders for over 15,000 gasoline powered 2020 Ford Police Inceptor models, and over 2,600 orders for the 2020 Ford Police Interceptor Hybrid. That includes an order for 39 2020 Ford Police Interceptor Hybrids placed by the Los Angeles Police Department, which hopes to eventually make their fleet all-hybrid for both cost and environmental reasons. Lest you think a hybrid police vehicle can't get the job done, testing completed by the Michigan State Police in 2018 showed that a prototype Ford Police Interceptor Utility Hybrid had the fastest 0-100 mph acceleration and highest top speed of any police vehicle they had tested other than the Ford Police Interceptor Utility powered by a twin-turbo 3.0-liter EcoBoost engine. Ford estimates that if every Ford Police Interceptor Utility sold in 2018 had been one of the new hybrid models, American police agencies would have burned 43 million fewer gallons of fuel per year, which equates to an estimated savings of between $118 million and $193 million annually. "Our Police Interceptor Utility's standard hybrid powertrain provides the potential for significant fuel savings with improved performance and no tradeoffs in safety or cargo space," said Stephen Tyler, Ford police brand marketing manager. "It's a win-win-win formula for law enforcement." Helping America's finest get the job done safely and more efficiently is all in a day's work at Ford, where cutting edge engineering and design go hand-in-hand. Ready to see what Ford can do for you? Stop in today at McLarty Daniel Ford of Bentonville for a test drive, or check out our full selection of hard-working Ford cars, trucks, vans and SUVs at our website right now.

The all-new 2020 Ford Police Interceptor Utility takes policing to the next level | McLarty Daniel Ford

Since soon after the dawn of the automobile, Ford Motor Company has been supplying police departments with vehicles that can survive the rigors of life on the beat, from the rumbling Model T, to the powerful Ford Crown Victoria that became synonymous with police work in the 1990s, to today's generation of high-tech Ford police cruisers. That said, the latest police-oriented offering from the Blue Oval might be their best and most duty-ready yet: the incredible 2020 Ford Police Interceptor Utility. Packed with technology to make it easier on the taxpayers' pocketbook and features to make police work safer than ever for America's bravest, you might not want to see the 2020 Ford Police Interceptor Utility in your rearview mirror, but you'll be glad it's out there helping keep our communities, and our police officers, safe. Building on the great styling of the next generation Ford Explorer, the 2020 Ford Police Interceptor Utility is engineered from the ground up with police departments and real-world officer needs in mind. Recognizing that municipalities face tighter budgets these days, the 2020 Ford Police Interceptor features a standard, fuel-sipping hybrid powertrain that uses a combination of gas and electric power while still delivering the horsepower and speed officers need in an emergency. Police cruisers spend a lot of time idling on the job, and that used to mean wasted fuel. With the hybrid powertrain, electric equipment like lights, on-board computers and more can by powered through the vehicle's lithium-ion battery, with the gasoline engine starting automatically to periodically recharge the system. That results in fewer fill-ups, and reduced CO2 emissions to help the environment. For those jobs where only a high-horsepower drivetrain will do, the 2020 Ford Police Interceptor Utility is also available with the turbocharged 3.0-Liter EcoBoost V6, delivering a whopping 400 horsepower and 415 pound-feet of torque, to get cops moving when an emergency or pursuit situation arises. Police work also means high-speed driving, often in challenging weather conditions or congested city traffic. The 2020 Ford Police Interceptor Utility has you covered there, too, with a standard all-wheel drive powertrain that provides sure-footed handling and stability even at high speeds or slick conditions. The 2020 Ford Police Interceptor also features a high-strength passenger compartment that's engineered to withstand an incredible 75 mile per hour rear impact crash, along with the added security of Ford's Side Protection and Cabin Enhancement (SPACE) Architecture, which reinforces the cabin to help protect officers in the event of a collision. In addition, the 2020 Ford Police Interceptor Utility features a host of standard, police-friendly tech, including standard hands-free Bluetooth calling and a rear view camera that can be activated at the push of a button, even when the vehicle is parked. Keeping a watchful eye over those who watch out for us, the 2020 Police Interceptor Utility also features the cutting edge Police Perimeter Alert, a system which utilizes sensors around the vehicle to monitor the back and sides for movement, instantly analyzing motion to warn officers of a potential sneak attack from the side or rear. When a threat is detected, the system sounds audio and visual alerts, activates the rear view camera, and automatically rolls up the windows and locks the doors. Every 2020 Ford Police Interceptor Utility also comes with two years of Ford Telematics, Ford's powerful fleet management software that can remotely keep track of maintenance schedules, driver behavior and more, to optimize annual operational costs. Police work is always evolving to meet the efforts of criminals and scofflaws, and the 2020 Ford Police Interceptor Utility has evolved to meet the challenge. Packed with real world tech and protection, it's the next big thing for the thin blue line from Ford.
