Ford debuts the redesigned, Mustang-inspired 2020 Ford Escape!

Since 2001, the Ford Escape has been helping American drivers find their way to work, play and adventure in an economical, small SUV that goes big on style, performance and safety. Now, with the all-new 2020 Ford Escape, Ford is ready to help a whole new generation of drivers find all those things and more in the smartest SUV Ford has ever built, including two all-new gas/electric and plug-in hybrid powertrains with best-in-class range! Ready to buy a 2020 Ford Escape in Bentonville? You've got a bit to wait yet, as the 2020 Ford Escape won't be on the lot at McLarty Daniel Ford for a few months. But read on for everything you need to know about this beautiful new SUV from Ford! Ford debuted the 2020 Escape on March 2. In designing the sleek new silhouette, Ford drew upon the design of two legendary stablemates: the Ford Mustang and the race-bred Ford GT. Up front, the shield-shaped trapezoidal grille of the new 2020 Ford Escape is inspired by the latest generation of the Ford Mustang, while the lower front fascia borrows aerodynamic tricks from the GT. From there, the design strikes a bold new tone, with a gracefully sloped roof, integrated rear spoiler and smoothed underbody to help the new Escape cut through the wind for the most aerodynamic SUV Ford has ever built. In addition, the 2020 Ford Escape sheds more than 200 pounds when compared to the current model, thanks to the use of lightweight, high-strength steel alloys. Inside, the 2020 Ford Escape delivers a quiet, spacious and comfortable passenger compartment, with sliding second-row seats for best-in-class maximum second-row legroom, plus increased knee clearance and footwell length for a more comfortable ride, and 37.5 cubic feet of cargo room with the second row slid completely forward. Though the 2020 Escape is slightly smaller externally than the previous model, clever design and use of materials add up to an overall increase in headroom, shoulder room and hip room for all passengers. Under that sleek new body are your choice of four new driveline options, including two gasoline engines, a gas/electric hybrid powertrain, and a plug-in hybrid powertrain. Standard on S, SE and SEL trim levels is the all-new 1.5-liter EcoBoost four cylinder, producing 180 horsepower and 177 lb.-ft. of torque, for towing of up to 2,000 pounds, plus world-class fuel economy thanks to cylinder deactivation when power needs are low. For more gas-powered oomph, there's the optional 2.0-liter EcoBoost four, available on Titanium trims, producing 250 horsepower and 275 lb.-ft of torque for maximum towing of 3,500 pounds. If you're looking for the ultimate in fuel economy, check out the 2020 Ford Escape with Ford's fourth-gen gas/electric hybrid powertrain, which includes a newly designed 2.5-liter Atkinson cycle generator linked to a continuously variable gearless transmission. The system is projected to deliver combined horsepower of 198, a top speed on the freeway of 85 mph in electric only mode, and 550 mile range on a single tank of gas while using both gas and electric power. Available on every trim level except S and SE Sport is the all-new 2020 Ford Escape plug-in hybrid, which has an EPA-estimated range of 30 miles on a fully charged battery. Featuring the ability to charge at both 110-volt home charging stations and 240-volt commercial stations, the 2020 Ford Escape plug in hybrid can charge in 11 hours on 110-volt current, and 3.5-hours on 220. The system features four selectable modes to help drivers fine-tune their drive. These include: -- Auto EV mode, which allows the 2020 Escape to "decide" whether to run on gasoline or electric power. -- EV Now mode, which allows the 2020 Escape to operate solely on battery power. -- EV Later mode, which allows drivers to switch to full gasoline propulsion to conserve electric miles for later. -- EV Charge mode, which allows drivers to continue to charge the battery while driving and generate electric-only miles to use later. "This all-new Escape brings a sleeker, sportier design with the capability to take you on just about any of your life's adventures," said Ford North America President Kumar Galhotra. "With our class-leading hybrid powertrains, customers will spend less time at the gas station and more time on the road." Ford brings the Zen with 2020 Explorer's 'Mindful Mode'

These days, we're all busier than ever, with most of us spending a significant portion of our day staring into a screen of one form or another. For anybody who ever went to be with bloodshot eyes after a day packed with screen time, the engineers behind the 2020 Ford Explorer have a partial solution. Ford recently announced that the all-new 2020 Ford Explorer will feature "Calm Screen" function -- A.K.A. "Mindful Mode" -- which reduces the information delivered by the 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster to a minimum. With Calm Screen mode activated, the gauge cluster directly in front of the steering wheel will display only speed and fuel level, allowing drivers to focus on the road ahead without distractions. "We live in a world of ubiquitous screens, and the information can be overwhelming," said Ford Explorer Marketing Manager Lee Newcombe. "The new 'Mindful Mode' in the all-new Explorer offers a break from the constant stream of information and alerts bombarding us by giving drivers the option to disengage and take a moment for themselves away from the chaos technology can wreak." In announcing the function, Ford cited a recent Nielsen Media study that found the average American spends half their day processing information from a screen. A study by Ford Trends Report, meanwhile, found that half of all adults would appreciate a mandatory, daily "time out" from their devices. "It's no secret many people are tethered to their devices - engaging with screens at all hours day and night," said Sheryl Connelly with Ford Global Trends. "People are increasingly aware of and alarmed by their device dependency. Yet if there's one opportunity throughout the day to reduce your exposure to digital demands, it's when you're driving. Ford's new Explorer can serve as a sanctuary from chaos and distraction." The break from the digital noise that "Mindful Mode" can provide will pair well with the 2020 Ford Explorer, which features an exceptionally quiet cabin thanks to advanced door sealing, sound deadening, and acoustic glass, as well as an available 14-speaker premium sound system by B&O, supportive multi-contour seats with available heat and ventilation, and the new Ford Co-Pilot360 suite of driver-assistance technologies. Want to find your happy place? The all-new 2020 Ford Explorer will arrive at McLarty Daniel Ford this summer. If you want to be one of the first in Northwest Arkansas to own this beautiful new SUV from Ford, stop in at McLarty Daniel Ford, talk to our finance professionals, and get pre-approved today!

Why downtown parking is a breeze in the 2019 Ford EcoSport | McLarty Daniel Ford

We've all been there: minutes to go before an appointment, date or meeting downtown, and you're left circling, circling, circling, looking desperately for a free parking spot. And when you do find one? It's usually too tight of a squeeze for you to confidently parallel park. As you sit there, judging your skill at parallel parking against that tight space, somebody behind you gets impatient and starts honking. Parking headaches are something we all share. According to a 2017 study by connected car services provider INRIX, drivers nationwide are burning precious hours -- yes, hours -- every year looking for a precious parking spot. Residents of New York City, for instance, spend an average of 107 hours per year looking for a parking spot. In Los Angeles, it's 85 hours. In San Francisco, 83 hours. Nationwide, the average is 17 hours per year, just looking for a parking spot. If you've got better things to do with your time than look for a parallel parking spot, check out the peppy, nimble, reliable 2019 Ford EcoSport. The most compact SUV in America at only 161.3 inches long, the 2019 Ford EcoSport goes big on styling, features, safety and interior room, besting competitors in cargo capacity even though it has a shorter wheelbase and overall length. That bigger-on-the-inside trick is thanks to features like a rear cargo floor that is adjustable to three handy positions and flip-and-fold seats that can create a flat cargo floor from the rear bumper to the dash if need be. How does the 2019 Ford EcoSport shape up against the competitors in its class? Let's look at some numbers: More cargo room than Mini Countryman, but 8.5 inches shorter More cargo room than Buick Encore, but seven inches shorter More cargo room than Mazda CX-3, but seven inches shorter More cargo room than Chevy Trax, but six inches shorter What are you going to do with the 17 hours you won't have to spend looking for a parking spot this year? Better figure it out, because with the 2019 Ford EcoSport, you'll have a little more time on your hands. Ready to buy a 2019 Ford EcoSport in Fayetteville, Rogers or Springdale? Ford unveils the all-new 2020 Mustang Shelby GT500! | McLarty Daniel Ford

In the history of racing, there are very few names that cast a longer shadow than Shelby. Ford Mustangs bearing the Shelby name are some of the fastest and most desirable muscle cars ever built. Set to outpace them all, however, is the all-new Mustang Shelby GT500. Ford's answer to the top-tier pony car offerings by Dodge and Chevy isn't fooling around. With a supercharged 5.2-liter V8 producing more than 700 horsepower, it's the most powerful street-legal Ford in the company's hundred year history. After months on teasing on social media and the automotive press, Ford finally took the wraps off the 2020 Mustang Shelby GT500 at the 2019 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, with Ford President Jim Farley using the opportunity to pay homage to Carroll Shelby. "Carroll was always working on the next faster Shelby," Farley said. "I think he would love this Mustang more than any other. A takedown artist, the new Shelby GT500 will surprise supercar owners with its Ford Performance racing tech, supercharged engine and visceral swagger." Arriving at dealerships this fall, the 2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 will join it's more sedate but still formidable cousin, the Mustang Shelby GT350. Under the hood is a hand-built, all-aluminum 5.2-liter V8 capped with a 2.65-liter roots-type supercharger with an integrated air-to-liquid intercooler, pushing boost through high-flow cylinder heads to a short block with larger forged connecting rods, a flat-plane crank and improved oiling and cooling. A structural oil pan with a patented "active baffle" system buttons up the bottom end. Final horsepower numbers weren't released, but Ford promises "700-plus," which will put it on par or better with the Camaro ZL1 and Dodge Challenger Hellcat. Sending that power rearward is a TREMEC 7-speed dual-clutch transmission which Ford says can shift in less than 100 milliseconds, and which includes driver-adjustable modes including normal, slippery, sport, drag and track, with line-lock front braking for easy dragstrip burnouts, and a rpm-selectable launch control for picture perfect quarter mile launches. A carbon fiber driveshaft sends power to a high-performance rear end, then down to Shelby-specific forged alloy rims running Michelin Pilot 4S tires. Bringing the halt at the largest front brake rotors ever installed from the factory on a sport coupe: gargantuan 16.5-inch two piece rotors, with six-piston calipers by racing provider Brembo. Two handling packages will be available. The standard Handling Package includes adjustable struts, and a large rear spoiler. For true track performance, up the ante with the Carbon Fiber Track Package, with 20-inch carbon fiber rims, Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires, an adjustable carbon fiber wing out back and a functional splitter up front. You'll have to leave the kids at home, though, as the package deletes the rear seat to save weight. Visually, the 2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 is all about attitude, with a double-front grille opening, classic Shelby Cobra emblems, and a more pronounced hood bulge and a 31 inch by 28 inch louvered hood vent with removable alloy rain tray. Inside, there's race-inspired trim and materials, including extensive use of carbon fiber, available Recaro racing seats with functional bolstering and cutouts for a five point racing harness, and more. Front and center is a new 12-inch full-color LCD instrument cluster, plus available premium audio by B&O Play, controlled by the 8-inch SYNC3 touch screen. Do you have what it takes to handle the incredible power and head-turning looks of the 2020 Ford Mustang GT500? 2019 Ranger rated the most fuel-efficient mid-size truck | McLarty Daniel Ford

Every time you have to stop at the gas pump, that's less money you could be spending on the fun stuff, and less time to get out there and seek adventure. The good news is: you'll be making fewer of those stops in the all-new 2019 Ford Ranger. Ford recently announced that with an EPA-estimated fuel economy rating of 21 miles per gallon in the city and a whopping 26 miles per gallon on the highway, the 2019 Ranger has been certified as the most fuel-efficient gasoline-powered midsize truck in America! Even when configured with notoriously fuel-hungry 4x4 running gear, Ford's cutting edge engineering helps fight the parasitic four-wheel-drive powertrain dip in fuel economy, meaning the 2019 Ford Ranger still delivers EPA-estimated fuel economy of 20 mpg in the city and 24 mpg highway! That makes the 2019 Ford Ranger also the current record-holder for best four-wheel-drive fuel economy of any gasoline-powered midsize truck. While there was a time when great fuel mileage meant taking a serious hit in power and torque, Built Ford Tough engineering is there again, with the standard power of the 2.3-liter EcoBoost turbocharged four-cylinder, which delivers 310 lb.-ft. of torque and 270 horsepower. That's the most torque of any gas engine, four-cylinder or V6, in the midsize truck segment. Backed by the exclusive 10-speed transmission to help the 2.3-liter EcoBoost stay in the power and torque sweet spot, the 2019 Ford Ranger delivers best-in-class maximum towing of an incredible 7,500 pounds when properly equipped, with equally-impressive, best-in-class maximum hauling of 1,860 pounds. "Midsize truck customers have been asking for a pickup that's Built Ford Tough," said Todd Eckert, Ford Truck group marketing manager. "Ranger will deliver with durability, capability and fuel efficiency, while also providing in-city maneuverability and the freedom desired by many midsize pickup truck buyers to go off the grid." Currently under production at Ford's legendary Michigan Assembly Plant, the 2019 Ford Ranger will start arriving at dealers in January, and we're counting the days here at McLarty Daniel Ford. Are you ready to buy a 2019 Ford Ranger in Bentonville? Then stop in today at McLarty Daniel Ford and get the process started that will lead to the driver's seat of a new Ranger and the keys in your hand. Come see us today!
