Common Car Buying Myths
If you are looking for a luxury SUV, look no further than McLarty Daniel Lincoln of Bentonville to find a new luxury SUV that you will love. We get it; finding the perfect new vehicle is great, but it can also be pretty stressful, especially when you need to separate the myths of buying a car from the facts. Since Bentonville has welcomed us with open arms over the past years, we thought it is the least we could do to take the stress out of the car-buying process. That said, we’ve taken the time to debunk some of the craziest misleading car-buying myths we’ve heard about. Here are some
myths to be aware of when buying a new car:
You’ll get a better deal at the end of the month.
This myth is actually based on facts. Many traders have quotas for which they are compensated. These sales targets can be annual, quarterly, or monthly. If a particular dealer has not yet reached their allotment, your salesperson may be able to negotiate a better deal on an in-stock car. If the retailer met their sales target or currently doesn’t have one, it doesn’t matter when you buy, but here at McLarty Daniel Lincoln, you’re sure to get a great deal whenever you buy from us.
Buying a red car will increase my insurance rate.
This myth is actually false because most insurers don’t even ask what color your vehicle is initially but instead will ask for the vehicle’s year, the model and body, and the type of vehicle engine you have. They will also ask you about the safety features of your new car.
You should buy when it rains.
This myth is funny because prices stay the same regardless of the weather. You won’t get a better price; you’ll just get wet! An alternative option to shopping in the rain is to check out our current inventory online 24/7!

Let’s face it, cars and smartphones create a more convenient way of life for all who own them. The real question we have to ask ourselves is how you can combine these two to make your life a little easier? Well, the engineers at Ford might have just cracked that code. Do you ever get tired of trying to find your keys last minute? Whether they’re in your pocket or your purse, they seem to never be available when needed, especially when you’re standing at your car door while it’s pouring rain. Let us introduce you to the FordPass Connect app.
The technology we’re talking about is also known as Ford SYNC Connect and the main link between your phone and Ford vehicles. By now, Ford SYNC Connect is in almost every Ford vehicle released in 2021. It works in connection with the revolutionary FordPass App and streamlines the whole process. Once you’ve got the hang of things, you’ll never unlock your Ford Vehicle with your keys again.
Want to know how to set this feature up? Follow these steps:
- Get FordPass set up first by registering an account or vehicle.
- Once you’ve got FordPass activated, you’ll need to start your Ford vehicle.
- Once the car has been started, you’ll notice that your touchscreen will have a message asking you to allow remote start.
- Once you’ve pressed “Allow,” you’re now able to use remote start features.
- Follow the guide on the screen to finish the setup.
Everything is easy as you’ll be walked step by step through the whole process. Not only will you be able to remote start your vehicle on command, but now, you’ll also be able to schedule remote starts for a future time.
FordPass Connect remote start is just one of many new exciting features that Ford has brought to the table. Your phone does it, your laptop does it, and maybe even your refrigerator. Now Ford is asking: why shouldn’t your SUV do it too?
We’re talking, of course, about wirelessly updating software, allowing gadgets to keep up with the changing times (and eliminate computer glitches that inevitably arise) with a simple, wireless update while you sleep. Ford recently announced that thanks to quick and easy over-the-air updates, your all-electric Ford Mustang Mach-E can be upgraded anywhere, without bringing it into a Ford dealership. It’s a taste of the future that you will be able to drive soon, thanks to Ford’s relentless pursuit of what’s next in the world of automotive technology.
“The beauty of the Mustang Mach-E is that what our customers experience on day one is just the beginning – it will evolve to add even more features and capabilities over time,” said John Vangelov, connected services manager, Ford Motor Company. “Our clever over-the-air updates also minimize downtime through incredibly fast activation and ensure your Mustang Mach-E is always getting better, even when you’re asleep.”
Unlike computers and phones that require you to wait while updates install, Ford says over-the-air updates from the Mustang Mach-E will download securely in the background, with most updates completing in under two minutes. We’re not just talking about new apps for Ford’s in-dash SYNC system, either. Nearly every system of the Mustang Mach-E can be updated remotely and wirelessly, with near-instant potential enhancements to performance, battery life, charging speed, the AC system, gauges and more. In effect, over-the-air updates will allow Ford engineers to subtly tweak the performance
and handling of your new Mustang Mach-E in ways that were unavailable to car owners in the past unless they bought the latest model. Ford can even potentially add safety or technology features to the Mach-E that didn’t exist when your car rolled off the assembly line.
Most updates will be seamless to Mach-E owners. As is the case with your computer or smartwatch, customers can select a low-use time to upgrade their Mustang Mach-E, such as the middle of the night. Once the car is started again, in-vehicle alerts will let them know which improvements have been installed. Updates will be delivered either using your home Wi-Fi connection, or a high-speed cellular connection, depending on the update.
The Ford Mustang Mach-E is expected to hit dealer lots this fall as a 2021 model, and Ford says they will begin rolling out the first over-the-air software updates within six months after launch. Given the great performance heritage of the Mustang name, we’re betting that at least some of those upgrades will be centered around making the Mustang Mach-E even more fun at stoplights and in the corners. Ford said the wireless software upgrades are the wave of the future, and will soon be standard on all Ford models across the board, helping create cars, trucks, vans and SUVs with both the
Ford Tough engineering and upgradable software they need for the long haul.
We’re very stoked to get our first Mustang Mach-E “Tesla Killer” here at McLarty Daniel Ford of Bentonville, and to see the Mustang nameplate gain a new sibling. The future is truly now, and Ford is leading the way with features like over-the-air software upgrades. Tired of driving what’s Yesterday? Then step up to the future in a new Ford from McLarty Daniel Ford of Bentonville. Stop in today for a test drive, or check out our full selection online right now.
We understand just how stressful it can be if you begin to have car trouble or are just due for routine maintenance. The last thing you want to have to worry about is where to take your vehicle in its time of need. Here at McLarty Daniel, we have identified three of the top reasons you should be taking your vehicle to a Ford dealership rather than a standard mechanic.
Experience
Of course, most mechanics have been trained, but absolutely nothing can beat a certified technician here at McLarty Daniel Ford. Our staff is experienced and trained in all things Ford, which allows you to spend less time in the service department and more time on the road.
Parts
Here at McLarty Daniel Ford of Bentonville, our certified technicians can install any authentic Ford part or accessory and assist you in finding other parts or add-ons. Since our dealership works with certified genuine Ford parts that come straight from the manufacturer, we can save you money as well as time. Remember, when you buy Ford genuine parts, you’ll be getting top-notch quality, which could be saving you from possible car troubles in the future from a part that is not Ford certified.

If you’re looking to have your Ford vehicle serviced or even repaired, we invite you to make an appointment online at McLarty Daniel Ford in Bentonville. Our Ford service advisors will take it from there, offering you high-quality service at an affordable price.
Simple Ways to Keep Your Car’s Interior Clean
Let’s face it, in this ever-evolving world we are always on the go. According to multiple new studies, the average American spends roughly 18 days total in their car a year. If you’re going to spend that long in a car, why not make sure it’s clean? Here at McLarty Daniel Ford in Bentonville, we have put together a list of the easiest ways to keep your car’s interior clean while on the go.
Daily maintenance
Perhaps one of the easiest ways to keep your car clean is to declutter it. Let’s face it, we all have a pile of water bottles in our passenger seat, but instead of tossing the next one into the pile once you reach your destination, take a minute and pick up anything that doesn’t belong in your car. Whether that means throwing away that mountain of water bottles or even putting fast food trash in the garbage, by doing this daily you’ll save yourself from having to clean up a massive mess in the future.
Vacuum
Vacuuming your car consistently prevents carpets from becoming stained or discolored, which ultimately could result in a higher resale value. Not only can vacuuming help with resale value, but it can also remove particles of dirt and allergens from your car’s interior, giving you a cleaner and healthier space.
Wipe it down
We recommend carrying a microfiber cloth in your vehicle, so you can wipe down your dash as it becomes dusty over time. Keeping a microfiber towel in your car can also help you wipe out any crumbs within the cup holders and remove any fingerprints that may accumulate on your vehicle’s touchscreen infotainment center.
Crystal clear
If you happen to take your car through a carwash, you’ll see immediate results with a shiny exterior, but once you pull out of that lot, you may notice smudges and smears on the interior windows that the carwash couldn’t get. We recommend once you wash the exterior of your car to also follow up with a glass cleaning solution on the interior windows as well.
Once you’ve taken care of the interior, let us take care of your vehicle’s engine! If you live in Centerton, Bella Vista, Bentonville, Eureka Springs, Fayetteville, Pea Ridge, Springdale or Rogers and are interested in scheduling a service appointment or even inspection or tune-up, swing by McLarty Daniel Ford and let us take care of you!
Lightining Strikes in Northwest Arkansas
Whether for work or play, we know you’ve come to rely on the ability of the Ford F-150 to be in it for the long haul. The all-new 2022 Ford F-150 Lightning is no different. For nearly 44 years, Ford F-series trucks have been America’s best-selling pickups, but at Ford, they have rethought what a truck can be. The Ford Lightning is the first-ever F-series that’s gas-free and all-electric, offering advanced technology and an elevated driving experience, all while being built Ford tough.
With zero to 60 miles per hour in around four seconds, the Ford Lightning lives up to its name. The Ford F-150 Lightning and its 533 horsepower and 775 pound-feet of torque give its drivers 10,000 pounds of towing capability as well as a 2,000-pound payload. With numbers like these, the F-150 Lightning is sure not to disappoint.
Standard models have a range of 230 miles, while an extended battery will provide you with roughly 300 miles of range. Not only is the F-150 Lightning fast when it comes to speed, but it also offers fast charging times with 30 miles per charging hour.
In terms of design, the F-150 Lightning resembles its relatives in the F-150 family; however, you may notice strip lighting both in the front of the truck as well as on the tailgate. One feature that sets this truck apart from the others is its front trunk, a frunk if you will. It has what Ford calls “a power frunk” where the engine would typically be in addition to a standard truck bed, offering drivers more storage than ever. You’ll also be able to find 11 total power outlets throughout the vehicle, which is perfect for work sites as well as even powering your house during a power outage.
In terms of technology, Ford has once again raised the bar with its 15.5-inch touch screen as well as the new Ford BlueCruise, which offers totally hand-free driving technology that’s currently only found in the Mustang Mach-E.
Prices for the Ford F-150 Lightning range between trim levels. The standard model starts at $39,974, while the most expensive model will start at $90,474. No fear, customers looking to purchase a Ford F-150 Lightning can expect a federal tax credit which would mark the vehicle’s price down by $7,500.
We don’t yet have an exact date for the Ford F-150 Lightning to roll into dealerships but, we hope to see them sometime in 2022. If you want to be among the first to own the all-new 2021 Ford F-150 Lightning, McLarty Daniel Ford of Bentonville has you covered. You can text us directly at 501-289-5773 or give us a call at 479-250-0922, and we can get the reservation process started for you today. If you’re interested in the all-new 2021 Lincoln Corsair and live in Centerton, Bella Vista, Bentonville, Eureka Springs, Fayetteville, Pea Ridge, Springdale or Rogers, Arkansas, but don’t know exactly which trim level is right for you, have no fear McLarty Daniel Lincoln of Bentonville is here. Here at McLarty Daniel Lincoln, we have put together a list of the key differences between trim levels of the all-new 2021 Lincoln Corsair
What’s under the hood?
Both the 2021 Lincoln Corsair Standard and Reserve trim levels are available in front-wheel drive as well as all-wheel drive options and come powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 250 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque powered by premium fuel. However, if you’re looking for a little bit more power you should consider upgrading to the Reserve trim level’s exclusive 2.3-liter four-cylinder engine which is capable of producing 295 horsepower as well as 310 pound-feet of torque.
What about the interior?
First of all, you can’t go wrong with either trim level as Lincoln is known for its luxurious interiors. However, if you choose to go with the 2021 Lincoln Corsair Reserve you’ll notice several extra upgraded features, especially when it comes to the idea of comfort and convenience. For example, on the 2021 Lincoln Corsair Standard you’ll of course have a power liftgate, but on the 2021 Lincoln Corsair Reserve you’ll have a hands-free power liftgate. One other prominent feature that the 2021 Lincoln Corsair Reserve comes standard with is its Panoramic Vista roof, which is only an option on the Standard level. Both levels come equipped with SYNC 3 technology in their infotainment center as well as an 8-inch LCD touchscreen that can also recognize swipe controls. However, the voice-activated touchscreen navigation system, ability to unlock your vehicle with your smartphone and upgraded Revel 14-speaker configuration come standard on the Lincoln 2021 Corsair Reserve. These features are only an option on the 2021 Lincoln Corsair Standard.
Safety technology.
Both trim levels of the 2021 Lincoln Corsair were to keep you safe while cruising the roads of Northwest Arkansas. Both levels do come with certain features such as automatic emergency braking, roll stability control, and a rearview camera, and you can always add features like evasive steering assist and adaptive cruise control to either, however, the auto-dimming side-view mirrors and LED fog lamps are exclusive to the 2021 Lincoln Corsair Reserve.
No matter which 2021 Lincoln Corsair trim level you choose you won’t be disappointed with your purchase. However, if you are looking for more power, convenience and upgraded luxurious options you’ll probably want to go with the 2021 Lincoln Corsair Reserve rather than the 2021 Lincoln Corsair Standard. Of course, the best way to decide which 2021 Lincoln Corsair is the best fit for you is with a test drive. Luckily, here at Mclarty Daniel Lincoln, we have both the Reserve and Standard levels available. We invite you to swing by and check them out for yourself!

Do You Need New Tires?
Your tires help get your vehicle from point A to point B, support the vehicle load, and are essential for braking and traction. But when you think of routine maintenance you probably only think of bringing your vehicle in for an oil change. With that being said, tires can also be a vital part of your vehicle’s routine maintenance. With so much riding on your vehicle tires, it’s important to know when to replace them. Here McLarty Daniel we have put together a list of the top four signs that you need new tires.
Out with the old in with the new
A lot of factors go into determining how long your tires should last due to different grades in manufacturing, there’s no one specific lifespan of a tire. However, most car manufacturers agree that your vehicle’s tire should be replaced six years after their installation date regardless of how many miles are on them, this is simply due to the fact that elements can weaken the material that your tires are made of making them unsafe to drive on.
Racking up the miles
As with age, there’s no set specific amount of miles that your tires can or will go before they need to be replaced. However, most tire manufacturers suggest tires will need to be replaced before 60,000 miles due to the weakening of material from driving conditions and the elements.
Damage
If your tires are damaged in any way, you should consider replacing them immediately as damage to your tires could lead to a possible blowout. The most common types of tire damage are sidewall cuts and punctures, impacted breaks or bulges and even irregular wear.
Everyday wear
Perhaps the most common reason that tires will need to be replaced is simply everyday wear. It is dangerous to drive on worn tires as it increases the chance of a blowout, increases the chances of hydroplaning, and decreases the handling of your vehicle. The simplest way to check and see if your tread is considered worn is by inserting a penny into the tread. Face the head side towards you and see how much of Abraham Lincoln’s head you can see, if you can see all of it, then it is time for new tires.
If you’re still unsure if your tires need to be replaced, schedule your service appointment today at McLarty Daniel Ford and we’ll check it out for you. If they do need to be replaced — don’t fear! We can help you find the perfect tires for your vehicle and get you back on the road all in the same day!
Which Ford Bronco Is The Best For Me?
Almost a year ago, Ford shocked the world with its announcement that the iconic Bronco would be returning to the streets once again. This announcement sparked the interest of many nostalgic Americans from all over. During the announcement, Ford showcased the new 2021 Bronco that comes with six standard new trims. This left many potential buyers trying to figure out which trim would be best for them. Here at McLarty Daniel Ford, we have broken down the differences between the trim levels of the all-new Ford Bronco to make your life a little easier.
The interesting thing about the 2021 Ford Bronco is that, unlike other vehicles, the six different Bronco trims are for specific purposes. Each also has a unique name to match and of course, every trim level comes with its own unique features as well as cost.
The Base Level
Like other Ford vehicles, the 2021 Bronco does offer a base model which has a starting price of around $29,000 for the two-door option and $34,000 for the four-door option. Sporting a four-wheel-drive system and a 2.3 liter EcoBoost boost engine as well as the five G.O.A.T modes (go over anything mode). The base Bronco is for people who are looking to customize and add on to their Ford Bronco themselves rather than buying one with pre-existing bells and whistles.
The Bronco Big Bend
The Bronco Big Bend offers more technology and comfort features than you would see in many of the other Ford vehicles. Of course, you will receive all of the features that you would on the base model, but you’ll also begin to see some add-ons on the exterior such as 17-inch aluminum wheels and six G.O.A.T modes. Buyers can expect a price point of around $34,000 on this specific model.
The Bronco Black Diamond
This specific Ford Bronco trim focuses on more off-roading features. This trim level is when you’ll begin to see additional colors being added, rubberized flooring, a heavier duty front bumper, a steel rear bumper, rock rails and even heavy-duty bash plates. In addition to these upgraded off-roading features, you also get seven G.O.A.T modes. Customers looking to purchase the Bronco Black Diamond can expect a price tag of around $37,000.
The Bronco Outer Banks Edition
The Outer Banks trim of the Bronco is much like the Bronco Black Diamond, however, you’ll begin to see upgraded headlights and taillights, additional colors, and even a bigger steering wheel. With this trim, you’ll also begin to see more tech features added such as the Ford Co-pilot 360 Safety Suite and even remote start.
The Bronco Wildtrak
Starting at $50,000 the Wildtrak Bronco adds 35-inch terrain tires, fender flares, and different trail traction control. Buyers will also receive an advanced 4×4 system and seven G.O.A.T modes.
The Bronco Badlands
The Bronco Badlands is considered by Ford to be the ultimate off-roading Bronco. It is very similar to the Big Bend, but it does feature seven G.O.A.T modes as well as 33-inch all-terrain tires and a pretty awesome unique suspension with a front stabilizer bar disconnect. Customers looking at this model can expect to see a price tag of around $43,000.
If you’re near the Centerton, Bella Vista, Bentonville, Eureka Springs, Fayetteville, Pea Ridge, Springdale or Rogers area and are interested in the full-size Ford Bronco, we invite you to follow our social media for updates on inventory or stop by today and let one of our friendly sales professionals assist you through the buying process.
