CLICK HERE TO SHOP OUR SELECTION OF 2021 LINCOLN NAUTILUS MODELS

What does this mean, though? That’s a great question! To be eligible for the award, vehicles must obtain a satisfactory grade in all six IIHS crashworthiness tests, including the driver-side small overlap front, passenger-side small overlap front, moderate overlap front, side, roof strength, and head restraint tests. Additionally, they must be equipped with a front crash prevention system that receives an advanced or superior rating in both vehicle-to-vehicle and vehicle-to-pedestrian crash tests, as well as at least one headlamp package that has a good or acceptable grade. To earn the
higher-tier Top Safety Pick+ rating, all trim levels must include good or adequate headlights, which the new 2021 most certainly does.

For 2021, the award is valid for vehicles manufactured after March 2021, when the manufacturer implemented glare reduction improvements to one of the available headlamp systems. The Black Label trim’s LED projector headlights and the Reserve trim, when coupled with the Ultimate package, now earn an excellent rating. Due to considerable glare, the other two alternative headlamp systems received low ratings.

The Nautilus is available with two distinct front crash prevention systems, one standard and one optional, although both achieve superior or advanced ratings in vehicle-to-vehicle and vehicle-to-pedestrian crash tests.

Here at Mclarty Daniel Ford Lincoln, we have trucks of all shapes and sizes, but today we’ll be looking at the 2021 Ford F-150. There are numerous reasons for its success, and today we will discuss three of the most essential!

Fuel Economy

Prioritizing fuel consumption on a truck is unusual, but Ford has consistently improved the 2021 F-150’s engine and body, achieving tremendous progress. Today, the average 2021 Ford F-150 truck gets 19 miles per gallon in the city and 26 miles per gallon on the highway. These enhancements result from years of weight-saving adjustments to the aluminum body and technology advancements to the EcoBoost engine.

Reliability

The Ford F-150 is simply a robust truck. The current model was tested for 10 million miles before it was released, demonstrating how Ford proves its engineering and design are perfect. It managed conditions ranging from 20 degrees below zero to 120 degrees Fahrenheit, which also helped to show customers that this vehicle will perform well in every state across the country.

Plenty of Options to Go Around

Ford has distinguished itself from many other manufacturers by providing customers with what they want: the flexibility to customize their F-150 to their exact requirements. Trucks with beds ranging from five and a half feet to eight feet long, substantial off-road packages, spray-in bed liners, as well as enhanced seating all provide customers with a one-of-a-kind ride. Car Fax Event

Our CARFAX One-Owner Event is in full swing for the month of August here at McLarty Daniel Ford Lincoln, but what exactly does that mean for you as the consumer?

What is CARFAX anyways?
The CARFAX report summarizes the history of the vehicle since it left the factory. Records come from more than 112,000 different sources, including all U.S. states and Canadian Provincial Automobile Bureaus, police and fire departments, as well as collision repair shops, auto auctions and more!

What can I expect to see on CARFAX reports? According to carfax.com, The CARFAX database is perhaps the most comprehensive vehicle history database in North America, containing over 13 billion records. Records included in each CARFAX Report reveal important information about a car’s history, such as an odometer reading, existence of a branded title such as a salvage/junk title, or past registration as a fleet vehicle. A CARFAX Report may not include every event in a vehicle’s history, but will include the data that is reported to CARFAX for a specific vehicle identification number (VIN).

More examples of information found in a CARFAX report include:

  • Flood Damage History
  • Lemon History
  • Service Records
  • Total Loss/Accident History
  • Number of Owners
  • State Emissions
  • Inspection Results

Why are the benefits to buying a CARFAX one-owner car?
According to carfax.com, there are several reasons to prefer one-owner cars. For starters, the vehicle is more likely to have complete maintenance records. Oftentimes different people have different approaches to car maintenance. A car with previous owners has a higher chance of encountering a person with less than ideal maintenance habits or even careless driving habits, directly impacting your prospective vehicle.

Next, with a one-owner vehicle, you’re more likely to get the whole story. Some sellers will sell or trade-in their cars once problems arise. If they sell their problematic vehicle to someone else without being honest about the issues, those problems can lead to more significant concerns down the road.

Finally, you get the benefit of buying a one-owner car knowing that fewer people have driven it. Fewer drivers or owners could directly impact your vehicle’s state in terms of condition and cleanliness.

At McLarty Daniel Ford Lincoln, 60% of our used inventory only has one previous owner meaning you’ll
be able to find the perfect vehicle with fewer miles and fewer problems! So, if you’re in the Centerton, Bella Vista, Bentonville, Eureka Springs,Fayetteville, Pea Ridge, Springdale or Rogers area, swing by today and let one of our friendly and knowledgeable sales professionals take it from there!

Like most people, you may know the terms “torque” and “horsepower,” but not necessarily what they mean. So here at Mclarty Daniel Ford Lincoln, we’ve created a cheat sheet to help you comprehend the critical differences between torque and horsepower.

What exactly is horsepower?

The amount of power delivered from the engine to the wheels, or how quickly the engine can accomplish work, is measured in horsepower.

We’ll use the physics definition of work here – the energy transferred to or from an item by applying force along with a displacement.

What exactly is torque?

Torque is a unit of measurement for a vehicle’s ability to perform work. It especially refers to the rotational force imparted to the vehicle’s crankshaft.

In general, the higher the torque, the higher the horsepower, especially at lower crankshaft RPMs. This delivers a lot of power at low speeds, which is ideal if you’re hauling a hefty trailer or camper.

Is torque the cause of speed?

Torque is useful for acceleration, but not in the same way that horsepower is. When you press the gas pedal, torque propels your vehicle forward; horsepower keeps it moving.

Vehicles with a lot of horsepower are built to be fast, such as the 2021 Ford Mustang. Its horsepower moves it swiftly due to its size.

However, bigger vehicles like SUVs or Trucks, such as the 2021 Ford Expedition, have a lot of torque. However, its size will not travel as quickly as a more miniature vehicle with the same number of horses. It simply requires a lot of force to move. Likewise, a larger vehicle will require more torque than a smaller vehicle.

Which has a greater impact on fuel economy?

If you want to drive cheaply and spend as little money as possible at the gas pump, you should opt for a car with lower torque and horsepower statistics. Because horsepower burns fuel when accelerating, the more horsepower you have, the faster you’ll burn through gasoline.

Smaller engines typically have less horsepower, so look for vehicles like the 2021 Ford EcoSport or a used Ford Focus, for example.

Vehicles with low-end torque at slower speeds use less gas, but it all relies on how you drive. If you drive aggressively and “floor it,” you will likely burn up more gasoline faster and may damage your vehicle in the process.

Is it better to have greater torque or more horsepower when towing?

Torque is your best buddy if you intend to tow a trailer or camper. Torque is similar to a muscle in your car. Because low torque is analogous to weak muscles, your vehicle may struggle to tow additional weight. Increased torque reduces the strain on your vehicle’s transmission.

Even though your mid-size SUV is technically capable of towing more than 10,000 pounds, you may want to consider upgrading to a vehicle specifically designed for towing, such as a 2021 Ford F-150. It provides the torque and horsepower you need to have a pleasurable drive while towing, and it can transport huge loads without putting strain on the transmission or other elements.

You’re sure to find vehicles, trucks, and SUVs with various torque and horsepower ranges to suit your demands here at McLarty Daniel Ford Lincoln serving Centerton, Bella Vista, Bentonville, Eureka Springs, Fayetteville, Pea Ridge, Springdale, and Rogers, Arkansas. Swing

Family and Family dog in a car traveling

A road trip with the whole family can be fantastic, but bringing your pets along can sometimes cause more hassles than the trip is worth. Keeping your pet happy while also ensuring that everything goes according to plan may be a nightmare, so McLarty Daniel Ford has put together some helpful hints for traveling with your furry friend.

Breaks

Many folks think these options are the same when they walk on our lot, but they actually operate differently and are featured on different types of automobiles. So, while the terms are interchangeable, the two possibilities are in reality distinct, and this is what distinguishes them:

Water

Your pet needs plenty of water to stay hydrated, especially if you’re traveling to or from a hot location. Bring food and water bowls for your dog, and offer them some food or drink at every stop during your journey. Collapsible bowls conserve room on your trip and are easy to clean, so there will be no messes in the rear seat.

Safety

When families hit the road, keeping your dog safe in the car is a critical but frequently forgotten consideration. A dog box (which may be collapsible for convenient transport) or a doggy seatbelt are both excellent options for keeping your dog secure in the backseat while you’re driving. If you’re staying in a hotel or another location with stricter pet laws, a crate can be a lifesaver.

Update tags and chips

Getting separated from a loved one, including your dog, is one of the worst things that can happen on a road trip. Keeping your pet’s tags and microchips up to date ensures that if the unimaginable happens, you’ll be able to find them quickly.

Exercising beforehand

Similarly, tiring out your dog before bedtime at home is a good idea. Spending some time on a walk or playing fetch with your pet before going on the road can save you hours of frustration. With exercise, your dog is more likely to relax and even fall asleep in the car, allowing you to focus on the road ahead rather than the passenger behind you.

DO NOT LEAVE THEM IN A HEATED CAR

Never leave your pet unattended in a hot car, no matter how long you are inside the gas station or restaurant. Take turns going inside for restroom breaks so the car can stay running, and look for restaurants or rest areas with outside spaces where you can let your dog run around.

When you keep these helpful guidelines in mind, traveling with your canine buddy doesn’t have to be a headache. At McLarty Daniel Ford serving Centerton, Bella Vista, Bentonville, Eureka Springs, Fayetteville, Pea Ridge, Springdale, or Rogers, Arkansas, you’ll find the ideal vehicle for you and your dog, especially on lengthy road journeys.

2022 Ford Bronco

What is the difference between All-Wheel Drive and Four-Wheel Drive? is a question that many of our customers have here at McLarty Daniel Ford, so let’s talk about it!

Many folks think these options are the same when they walk on our lot, but they actually operate differently and are featured on different types of automobiles. So, while the terms are interchangeable, the two possibilities are in reality distinct, and this is what distinguishes them:

Vehicles with all-wheel drive, also known as AWD, use a front, center, and rear differential to improve traction and power. Four-wheel drive or 4X4 cars, on the other hand, use two differentials to distribute power between the front and back wheels and send a fixed amount to each tire.

AWD is more common in sedans, crossovers, hatchbacks, and smaller SUVs, whereas 4WD is more common in larger SUVs and trucks. Automatic AWD and manual 4X4 are now available on some vehicles.

AWD and 4X4 car options differ because AWD is better for everyday driving and normal road conditions, like in scenarios where the vehicle may need additional grip or power. In contrast, 4X4 vehicles are best for off-roading conditions.

Curious to learn more about the AWD or 4X4 features in our Ford vehicles and live in Centerton, Bella Vista, Bentonville, Eureka Springs, Fayetteville, Pea Ridge, Springdale, or Rogers, Arkansas? Contact us today and let our knowledgeable sales staff handle the rest!

2022 Ford F-150 Towing a bout

It’s time to start thinking about vacation now that summer is in full swing. When it comes to summer towing, there are a few best practices to follow to ensure that your vehicle and gear arrive in the best possible condition. That said, Here are some helpful towing tips from Mclarty Daniel Ford!

Before You Tow

Before you link up all your gear, there are a few things you should consider. To begin, double-check that your tires are properly inflated and in good operating order. Underinflated tires not only increase the risk of tire failure but also reduce fuel efficiency and put more load on your engine. Second, different loads will need various hitches. Make sure your hitch system is compliant with your car’s towing capacity before you attach a trailer. Finally, it’s critical to have your brakes in good operating order when towing because breaking takes longer.

Know Your Load

Packing the car is a crucial part of towing. When it comes to loading a car, not only does the amount of weight you’re towing matter but so does how the weight is distributed throughout your trailer. When loading a camper, start with the heavier goods in the back. You’ll also want to secure cargo that is heavier or larger. Then, as you load the rest of the trailer, try to keep everything balanced on the left and right sides.

Know Your Vehicle

When it comes to towing, each automobile type will have distinct capabilities. Suspension, chassis capacity, engine power, vehicle weight, and gearbox all have a role in towing. The towing capacity of your vehicle can be found in the owner’s manual. When towing a trailer, be sure you don’t exceed your vehicle’s maximum cargo limit.

Practice Makes perfect

Even if you’ve driven with a trailer before, make sure you take a practice drive with the RV or trailer attached before you go on an extensive trip. Find a road with little traffic and practice breaking at different speeds (particularly while driving fast), changing lanes, accelerating, and backing up. It will take longer to brake and accelerate when towing, and you will need to account for extra time and space needed for turns. Before going to a high-traffic location, make sure you’re comfortable on a low-traffic stretch of road.

Curious to learn more about where the 2021 lineup of Ford vehicles can take you this summer and live in Centerton, Bella Vista, Bentonville, Eureka Springs, Fayetteville, Pea Ridge, Springdale, or Rogers, Arkansas? Contact us today and let our knowledgeable sales staff take it from there!
