Mustang Mach-E driving along the ocean at dusk

Since 1964, the Mustang nameplate has graced some of the highest-performance and most visually exciting vehicles Ford has ever produced. Ford recently announced the Mustang name and iconic “running pony” emblem will soon help open a new chapter in Ford’s century-long pursuit of innovation, with the all-electric 2021 Ford Mustang Mach E.

Heavily-inspired by the iconic 2020 Ford Mustang coupe, which will remain in production, the 2021 Ford Mustang Mach E is the perfect blend of electricity and exhilaration, driving the Ford brand into a more sustainable future while showing that future doesn’t have to be all boring design and weak-kneed performance.

“At the first-ever Detroit auto show, Henry Ford said he was working on something that would strike like forked lightning,” said Bill Ford, executive chairman, Ford Motor Company. “That was the Model T. Today, the Ford Motor Company is proud to unveil a car that strikes like forked lightning all over again. The all-new, all-electric Mustang Mach-E. It’s fast. It’s fun. It’s freedom. For a new generation of Mustang owners.”

Arriving at McLarty Daniel Ford of Bentonville later this years, the 2021 Ford Mustang Mach E is the first-ever expansion of the Mustang family, and packs performance that lives up to the iconic name. The all-electric crossover features a range of over 300 miles, with the Mach E GT model producing the equivalent of 459 horsepower and 612 lb.-ft. of torque, allowing the Mach E to rocket from zero to 60 in just 3.5 seconds thanks to surefooted available all-wheel drive.

Thanks to Ford innovation in battery and charging technology, the 2021 Ford Mustang Mach E will feature one of the fastest and most efficient charging systems in the industry, adding 32 miles of range per hour of charging when using a 240-volt home charging outlet from Ford, utilizing the same plug used by an electric oven or dryer. Ford is even teaming up with Amazon Home’s network of electricians to make installation of the appropriate electrical connection cheaper and easier. On the go, Mustang Mach E owners can also take advantage of the FordPass Charging Network, the largest charging network in America, with over 12,500 charging stations nationwide.

The outside of the 2021 Ford Mustang Mach E is just as exciting as its performance side, with plenty of details borrowed from its two-door stablemate, like the triple taillights and character lines, hood and grille. Inside, the great looks continue, with features like a next-generation 15.5-inch touchscreen in the center dash with touch, swipe and pinch controls that will be entirely familiar to anyone who had ever used a smartphone, with seating for up to five adults, premium audio by Bang & Olufsen, and a Mustang-inspired double-cowl instrument cluster.

Everybody here at McLarty Daniel Ford of Bentonville is very excited to check out the all-new 2021 Ford Mustang Mach E when they start rolling out to dealerships later this year.
