At McLarty Daniel Ford, our customers’ safety is paramount, so we wanted to enlighten you about some of Ford’s best features. Ford Driver Assist technologies are available in new Ford vehicles to help keep you and your family safe on the road. Ford Driver Assist has seven technologies that will provide you with peace of mind on your everyday commute.
Lane-Keeping System
When your car wanders out of its lane, the Lane-Keeping System alerts you with vibrations in the steering wheel, a chiming sound, and visual warnings. This feature is amazing because it is more subtle than other similar technologies. When your Ford gives a warning, it isn’t so distracting like other systems can be.
Cross-Traffic Alert BLIS
When driving or parking, Blind Spot Information System (BLIS) with Cross-Traffic Alert will inform you if someone is in your blind area. This function comes in handy while merging lanes or backing out onto a busy route.

Adaptive Cruise Control
Adaptive Cruise Control expands on the concept of regular old cruise control by including a handful of extra-useful technologies. Stop-and-Go will slow and even stop your Ford in heavy traffic, then resume your preset speed when traffic picks back up. Speed Sign Recognition recognizes speed limit signs and automatically changes your speed to match. Finally, Lane Centering keeps your vehicle between the lines as it scans the lane markings on the road.
Hill Descent Control
Hill Descent Control is quite useful while traveling to the mountains or roads with steep slopes. This function assists you in maintaining a specified speed when driving down an incline, applying the brakes automatically as needed.
Curve Management
Curve Control makes it much easier to traverse curving roads as it adjusts your speed when approaching a wide or sharp curve. When making quick turns on twisting roads, your brakes will engage automatically, keeping you at a safe pace.

Assistive Steering
When traveling on congested routes, you may encounter some wild drivers. You have no idea what the automobiles around you are going to do. Evasive Steering Assist aids you in avoiding crashes by helping you navigate around cars that have suddenly stopped or slowed. We’d like to note that Evasive Steering Assist doesn’t steer for you.
Improved Active Park
Parallel parking is one of the most difficult aspects of driving. Parallel parking will be a breeze with Enhanced Active Park, which is one of the most innovative solutions on the market today. To use this option, simply shift, accelerate, and brake as the car parks for you.
