Ford introduces Ranger FX2 package, expanding Ranger’s lineup of Special Editions ‘ McLarty Daniel Ford of Bentonville

The 2019 Ford Ranger has already succeeded in being one of the hottest and most anticipated new vehicle introductions in Ford’s history, winning over today’s truck buyers with a blend of beautiful styling, high technology, cutting edge power and big time capability.

Ford recently announced they’re bringing even more style to the Ford Ranger with the all-new FX2 package. The package, which includes styling and capability upgrades to make the 2019 Ford Ranger even more capable, is available for order now, with delivery starting this winter. Available exclusively on Ford Ranger two-wheel drive models, the FX2 package is aimed at owners who want burly, off-road looks and capability with the fuel economy and easy handling of a two-wheel drive. The Ranger FX2 rolls on trim-exclusive 17 or 18 inch alloy wheels, while a front underbody guard and air-dam delete add up to create a tougher-looking front grille and valance. Mechanically, the FX2 adds a standard electronic-locking rear differential, and an off-road tuned suspension for increased traction, improved approach angles when climbing up and over obstacles, and sure-footed handling on-road or off. Inside, the Ranger FX2 adds an exclusive gauge cluster that features readouts for pitch, roll and yaw, along with FX2-specific seat logos.

“FX2 expands Ranger’s options for customers who want tough, off-road style with the functionality of a locking differential but don’t need four-wheel drive,” said Brian Bell, Ford Ranger marketing manager. “This is another way our customers can personalize Ranger to match their lifestyle while getting a great value.”

The Ranger FX2 package expands the Ford Ranger’s already-impressive trim groups and special edition packages, joining the Sport Appearance Package, the Chrome Appearance Package, the STX Appearance Package, the Black Appearance Package and the FX4 Off-Road Package, which features four-wheel-drive, a locking rear differential, and Ford’s exclusive Terrain Management System with Trail Control.

“We’re seeing sales trends that tell us to grow Ranger’s capability and appearance options even further,” said Chad Callander, Ford Ranger consumer marketing manager. “The FX2 Package is a result of us listening to our customers and what they’re demanding from their trucks.”
