Creepy and dark graveyard

Genuine Creepy Arkansas Locations

It’s Halloween season, a wonderful time of crisp cool Ozark weather and leaves changing colors. With that, Halloween is just around the corner with a few fun tricks, but a lot of treats and family fun. This is also the season of ghost stories, tales of otherworldly happenings, and reminders of the places we usually keep away from in the Natural State, Arkansas. If you are brave enough to visit these spooky spots and need a new or preowned vehicle to get you out of there in a hurry, come visit your friends at McLarty Daniel Ford of Bentonville. Let us assist you with personable customer service and quality vehicles. Have a safe and fun Halloween. Haunted Ft. Smith National Cemetery Ft. Smith, Arkansas The Fort Smith National Cemetery is a peaceful and dignified place of final rest... for the most part. At night, the National Cemetery is a whole different world. Some say a supernatural world to say the least. Witnesses there have reported sightings of a ghostly funeral procession, the participants decked out in turn-of-the-century clothing. At other times throughout the years, visitors to the cemetery have heard disembodied-voices singing old hymnals like a choir. Gravestones will sometimes glow and even move around following visitors. Others say the ghost of a decorative-saddled horse will appear, slowly being led by a phantom Civil War soldier towards the back of the cemetery, and at night, witnesses say the sound of heavy wagons resonates throughout the cemetery. Ghostly Car - Chaser of Redfield Road Sheridan, Arkansas Not too far south of Little Rock, deep in the forest, runs the lonely Old Redfield Road, originally one of the major thoroughfares that went through the small town of Sheridan. Legend has it that Old Redfield Road is a supernatural hotspot. Local residents along the old highway, have reported sightings of ghosts roaming the road or lingering in an old decrepit cemetery nearby, with passing motorists having reported car radios and other electronics malfunctioning as they pass the graveyard. The most frightening legend about Old Redfield Road is that of the Headless Car-Chaser. Witnesses report that as you drive a particular stretch of Old Redfield Road, a headless phantom will spring from the woods and chase your vehicle for about a quarter of a mile, keeping pace with the vehicle no matter how much you accelerate. If the vehicle is a pick-up truck, some say the phantom will jump into the bed of the truck and hitch a ride to a particular point then disappear. The story behind this bit of lore is that a workman with one of the timber companies had an accident on the job, which cost him his head. Though his body was recovered, his head tumbled down a hill into thick underbrush and was never found. So, is the Headless Car-Chaser chasing vehicles or hitching rides as a way of seeking help looking for his missing head? We'd rather not stop to ask him. The Fouke Monster Fouke, Arkansas Fouke, Arkansas is known for its legends about the Boggy Creek Monster, an 8-foot-tall, Bigfoot-like creature with monstrous strength reportedly been seen by locals throughout the years since the 1940s. It is described as being completely covered in reddish-brown hair, leaving three-toed tracks, and having a foul odor. Fouke Monster Mart in Fouke is the place to go if you want to find out more about the Boggy Creek Monster. The souvenir store sells monster t-shirts and postcards, and it still has a plaster cast of the monster’s foot on display. To get to the Fouke Monster Mart, just follow U.S. 71 into town. The store is just north of Butler Street. Wow, just thinking about these eerie Arkansas tales will send chills down anybody’s spine. Tall tales or not, if you travel to visit these spooky places, travel in style. Have the confidence that you can leave these places safely. Leave the ghosts in the dust by driving a new vehicle. Let your friends at McLarty Daniel Ford Bentonville assist with your vehicle needs! Have a safe and Happy Halloween! CLICK HERE TO CONTACT THE MCLARTY DANIEL SALES TEAM

The Mystery of Jim Morrison's 'Blue Lady' Mustang

Who doesn't like juicy rock n' roll lore about our favorite bands and their singers? One area of rock legend that is particularly deep are the stories about the legendary frontman Jim Morrison of the rock band The Doors. There are a ton of urban legends and speculations about the Lizard King, who died in Paris in 1971 at the age of 27. Some of the most interesting stories are myths about the 1967 Ford Shelby GT500 he dubbed, “The Blue Lady.” Join us for this curious tale about Jim Morrison's hot rod Mustang, which still remains officially missing going on 50 years now. The year was 1967 and the Los Angeles-based band, The Doors, became instant rock sensations practically overnight with their first album containing hit songs like “Light My Fire” and "Break On Through.” When their first record hit gold status in sales in America, the record company gave Morrison a brand new 1967 Ford Shelby GT500 as a gift. The following years saw Morrison blaze the streets of LA in the mist blue '67 Shelby he had named “The Blue Lady.” Morrison eventually moved to Paris and died of a drug overdose in 1971. But just before he left the U.S. his 1967 Ford Shelby GT500, “The Blue Lady” literally disappeared. The only evidence he owned the vehicle is a copy of his 1969 vehicle registration. There are two stories the majority of rock historians and Morrison biographers gravitate towards. One story is that Morrison was driving one night and recklessly hit a telephone pole on Sunset Blvd. in Los Angeles. He began to inspect the damage then wandered up the street to a bar for the rest of the night. When he returned hours later, the car was gone. Another story has Morrison parked his car at the airport for an extended period of time while going on tour. Once again, the car was missing when he went to retrieve it, having been towed. No one has been able to fully confirm these stories, but what's for sure is that the car was lost. The Blue Lady is still out there somewhere. Rumors have the car located in the Phoenix, Arizona area. As rare as Shelby Mustangs were, it's unlikely the car was crushed, so maybe the present owner is not aware of the history of the Shelby GT500 they have sitting in their garage or workshop, or maybe they do. Whatever the case, how incredible would it be to find Jim Morrison's Shelby GT500 50 years after he lost it? It'd be like finding both a piece of Rock n' Roll history, and a vintage Ford treasure. If you want to make your own adventures legendary and need a versatile vehicle to do it in, stop by McLarty Daniel Ford in Bentonville. We have one of the best selection of Ford models, including the modern take on Morrison's "Blue Lady" Mustang. Let us assist you when purchasing your next vehicle. Happy trails! Five Of Our Favorite Features of the 2021 Bronco!

Last month, Ford finally took the wraps off the one we've all been waiting for since 1996: the all-new 2021 Ford Bronco. Featuring incredible retro-modern style that harkens back to the original, first-gen Broncos built between 1966-1977, the 2021 Ford Bronco also features the latest in technology, safety and drivetrain innovations. It all adds up to the best-looking, best-performing Bronco in the nameplate's 50 year history! We're incredibly excited to get our hands on the 2021 Ford Bronco, and it appears Bronco fans are too! Reservations for the new Bronco have been pouring in to the 2021 Ford Bronco Reservation page on McLarty Daniel Ford of Bentonville's website as people clamor to get in on the hottest launch from Ford since the original 1965 Mustang! Are you ready to reserve a 2021 Ford Bronco in Bentonville today? Of course you are! The more we read about the 2021 Ford Bronco, the more excited we are about it. Seen below, check out five of our favorite features of the 2021 Ford Bronco! And when you're ready, hurry on over to the 2021 Ford Bronco reservation page at McLarty Daniel Ford of Bentonville online, and reserve YOUR 2021 Bronco today! Don't wait. HEY, GOOD LOOKIN': The main thing we can't get enough of is how the 2021 Ford Bronco looks. Slab-sided and boxy, but packed with sleek and modern touches inside and out, it looks like an 1966 Bronco from a radically-different and more advanced parallel universe! With quickly-removable doors and top for open-air fun in the sun, it's a Bronco for a whole new century, and sure looks the part from any angle. BEST IN CLASS GROUND CLEARANCE: While a "faux-roader" SUV is fine if you're never going to be going anywhere you might get some dust on the undercarriage, those looking for true adventure know that when you're off-roading, ground clearance is the difference between powering through and continuing your journey or breaking out the shovel and getting to work doing the un-fun part of digging out. The 2021 Bronco does that better too, with available ground clearance of up to 11.6 inches. That's best-in-class, for more fun and less winching. BEST IN CLASS WATER FORDING: Another thing you quickly realize if you're one of those folks who actually use your 4x4 to go off-roading is: not every creek, stream or mud hole has a bridge over it. That's where the ability to ford water without damaging your engine, electrical components and interior is crucial. The 2021 Bronco does that better than any other SUV too, boasting available water fording of 33.5 inches. Find yourself a tape measure and appreciate just how deep 33.5 inches is: just a inch or so under average kitchen countertop height. POWER AND EFFICIENCY: With gas stations few and far between out on the trails, finding the perfect blend of efficiency and power is crucial. Buy an SUV that doesn't have the fuel efficiency you need, and you might find yourself walking toward civilization with an empty jerry-can. Not enough power, and you won't have the grunt to push through mud, rock and ruts. That's where you'll appreciate Ford Bronco, with modern turbocharging technology that squeezes big power from every ounce of fuel. The available turbocharged 2.7-liter EcoBoost six-cylinder, for example, churns of a V8-like 310 horsepower and 400 lb.-ft. of torque. THROW YOUR OWN SHIFTS: While the SUV world has taken a serious turn away from manual transmissions in recent years, preferring instead the ease and simplicity of automatic transmissions, many hardcore off-roaders still love manual transmissions for the precise torque application in tricky situations while crawling. Three-pedal fans will be happy to hear the 2021 Ford Bronco features an available speed manual transmission that's literally made for crawling, with six standard gears plus a seventh "granny low" crawler gear with a best-in-class 94.75-to-1 crawl ratio for world-turning torque. If you're near the Centerton, Bella Vista, Bentonville, Eureka Springs, Fayetteville, Pea Ridge, Springdale or Rogers area and are interested in the full-size Ford Bronco, we invite you to follow our social media for updates on inventory or stop by today and let one of our friendly sales professionals assist you through the buying process.

Ford Mustang Mach-E 1400 burning out its tires on a race track

Ford debuts 1,400-hp Mustang Mach-E 1400 Prototype!

From the iconic Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 to the Ford F-150 Raptor to the all-new 2021 Ford Bronco, Ford Performance is legendary. That long heritage of celebrating speed and exhilarating acceleration isn't about to change as America and the world make the turn away from fossil fuels toward greener, more environmentally-friendly propulsion systems, either. Case in point, the incredible, all-electric 1400-horsepower Mustang Mach-E 1400. Based on the incredible 2021 Mustang Mach-E electric SUV that's coming next year, the Mustang Mach-E 1400 prototype was built in a collaboration between Ford and RTR vehicles to showcase the promise and performance of all-electric propulsion systems. Click Here To Reserve Your Ford Mustang Mach-E Built by the same team that brought you the all-electric Mustang Cobra Jet 1400, the Mustang Mach-E 1400 is even more of a mind-blower, packing seven electric motors and an ultra-high-performance battery system that deliver 1,400 horsepower almost instantaneously to all four wheels. The result is a drag or drift car that can hang with even the highest-horsepower combustion-powered race machines, with a 160-mile-per-hour top speed and 2,300 pounds of downforce, for sticks-like-glue handling. “Now is the perfect time to leverage electric technology, learn from it, and apply it to our lineup,” said Ron Heiser, chief program engineer, Mustang Mach-E. “Mustang Mach-E is going to be fun to drive, just like every other Mustang before it, but Mustang Mach-E 1400 is completely insane, thanks to the efforts of Ford Performance and RTR.” Requiring over 10,000 hours to complete, with input from Ford GT racing engineers and RTR Vehicles founder and legendary drift racer Vaughn Gittin, Jr., the Mustang Mach-E 1400 features three high-torque electric motors attached to the front differential, plus four more equally-powerful motors driving the rear wheels. The set-up allows the Mustang Mach-E 1400 to be quickly tuned for a wide variety of racing applications, including drag racing, drifting and high-speed oval track racing. Massive fender flares allow for wider tires to put the torque and power to good use, while aerodynamic optimizers include functional cooling ducts, a front splitter, dive planes and a large, adjustable rear wing. The hood of the Mustang Mach-E 1400 is made of organic composite fibers, a lighter-weigh alternative to carbon fiber. “Getting behind the wheel of this car has completely changed my perspective on what power and torque can be,” said Vaughn Gittin Jr., RTR Vehicles founder, motorsports champion and professional fun-haver. “This experience is like nothing you’ve ever imagined, except for maybe a magnetic roller coaster.” Power delivery can be split evenly between front and rear, or all torque can be sent to either the front or rear wheels independently. Powering the Mustang Mach-E 1400 is a 56.8-kilowatt-hour liquid-cooled battery, with nickel manganese cobalt pouch cells for ultra-high performance and high discharge rate. An electronic brake booster allows the system to recover some lost charge during braking. If this is a glimpse at how exciting our more electrified future will be for performance fans, bring it on! The all-electric Mustang Mach-E SUV will be hitting our lot at McLarty Daniel Ford of Bentonville this fall! Ready to get in on the revolution? Then give us a call and start the process to reserve a Mustang Mach-E in Bentonville, Rogers, Fayetteville or Springdale today! Click Here To Reserve Your Ford Mustang Mach-E

Ford launches 10-part 'Bring Back Bronco' podcast

Here at McLarty Daniel Ford, when we're heading out on a long road-trip, we love our long-form podcasts almost as much as we love the great Ford vehicles that carry us on their way. There's no better way to pass the long miles on the road than a terrific podcast, and now our two loves have met in the middle, with "Bring Back Bronco: The Untold Story." A ten-part series hosted and narrated by NPR automotive reporter Sonari Glinton, "Bring Back Bronco" is a riveting look at the introduction of the original Ford Bronco in 1966, subsequent models and controversies -- including the infamous O.J. Simpson slow-speed chase in a white 1996 Bronco -- the retirement of the name, and the subsequent, ultimately-successful attempts within Ford to bring back the Bronco to American streets and trails. Click Here To Reserve A 2021 Bronco From McLarty Daniel Ford While early episodes of the series focus on the forces that brought the original first-generation Bronco to market, later episodes will reveal the untold story of the decade-long effort to get Ford and Ford customers excited about the promise of the retro-modern, ultra-capable Ford Bronco that will finally hit our lot at McLarty Daniel Ford early next year! You can get the podcast in multiple places, including Stitcher, Spotify and other popular platforms. The first and second episodes were released on August 10, and a new episode will be released every week until the finale on November 2. The episodes are: August 10 Episode 1: The American Dream Travel back to the birth of the Bronco concept in 1963, with Ford seeking to tap into the hunger of World War 2 and Korean War vets for a go-anywhere off-roader. August 10 Episode 2: Cracks in the Pavement Seeking to carry on the Bronco's success, Ford builds the Bronco brand and plans for a second-gen Bronco. But there are storm clouds on the horizon. August 24 Episode 3: Going Downhill Perhaps too confident in the popularity of the Bronco name, Ford turns the Bronco into a full-size, F-150-based SUV, while the smaller Ranger-based Bronco II drives into a safety controversy. September 7 Episode 4: End of the Road One of the more memorable events of the 1990s was the infamous slow-speed O.J. Simpson Chase through L.A. following the murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman. "Bring Back Bronco" explores the cultural significance of the chase, including never-before-revealed details of efforts inside Ford Motor Company to deal with the fallout. September 21 Episode 5: Driving in the Dark With the Bronco discontinued and gone from American highways, a plucky gang of off-roader and Bronco fans inside Ford fights to keep the Bronco dream alive as they work to gain interest that will lead to the return of an off-road legend. October 5 Episode 6: Stuck in the Mud Efforts to revive the Bronco name continue inside Ford, including the construction of a retro-futuristic prototype that creates a buzz. But will Millennials buy a Bronco? October 19 Episode 7: Green Light After 15 years of passionate effort, Bronco believers inside Ford finally see a light at the end of the long tunnel as the winds of consumer change shifts in favor of SUVs -- and the potential for a new Bronco. November 2 Episode 8: Hold on Tight With the effort to bring the 2021 Bronco and Bronco Sport to market in full swing, Ford grants exclusive access to their legendary Studio S in Dearborn, Michigan, the same design hub that gave the world the Thunderbird, the original Bronco, the first-gen Mustang and the 2021 Bronco and Bronco Sport. Ford debuts the adventure-ready 2021 Ford Bronco Sport compact SUV!

It's mid-July and here at McLarty Daniel Ford of Bentonville, our corral runneth over with news about the Ford Bronco! In addition to the all-new Ford Bronco, Ford also chose the Bronco's debut to drop the first details about its all-new sibling: the 2021 Ford Bronco Sport! Built Ford Tough, the 2021 Ford Bronco Sport is smaller but no less mighty than it's bigger stable-mate, but can really bring on the adventure with standard 4x4 running gear on all trim levels, weekend-ready performance, and an incredible new look. We won't start getting the 2021 Ford Bronco Sport here at McLarty Daniel Ford until next year, but that gives you plenty of time to get exciting about this purpose-built compact off-roader from the House that Henry Built. Read on for everything we know about the 2021 Ford Bronco Sport! Click Here To Contact Us And Reserve The 2021 Bronco Sport “Bronco Sport has the toughness and smarts to help turn off-road novices into 4x4 pros,” said Hau Thai-Tang, Ford chief of product development. “Bronco Sport embraces the needs of outdoor enthusiasts – every inch of it was designed and engineered with weekend adventurers in mind.” The family resemblance between the 2021 Bronco and the 2021 Ford Bronco Sport is unmistakable, featuring a rugged, retro-futuristic design with bold grille, flat sides, round headlamps, and short front and rear overhangs to help the Bronco Sport mount, climb and leave behind obstacles that would shred the bodywork of a "street only" compact SUV. Industrial, unpainted finishes are prominent on the exterior, helping the Bronco Sport be ready for anything Mother Nature can send your way. Five trim levels will available, including the Base, Big Bend, Outer Banks, Badlands and First Edition, the last of which will be available exclusively at launch. Each trim package is adventure-centric, built to evoke a certain landscape. The First Edition, for example, features standard 29-inch all-terrain tires with aggressive tread for improved traction in mud, muck or sand. Built for today's athletic and outdoorsy lifestyles, the 2021 Ford Bronco Sport is designed to go seamlessly from your commute to mountain trails, and is built hardy and resilient inside and out to stand up to the punishment of off-roading. For example, thanks to the high, "Safari"-style rear roof, when the rear seats are folded flat, the Bronco Sport is specifically designed to securely transport two full-size mountain bikes standing upright. Four accessory bundles that will be available from Ford Performance let you personalize your Bronco Sport for whatever you're into, including kits for kayaking, skiing, camping and more. Delivering the off-road capability and robustness that can get you out to where the pavement ends and back again is the Bronco Sport's advanced 4x4 system, with a class-exclusive twin-clutch rear drive with an electronic locking differential. Utilizing a high-tech assist and constant computer monitoring, the system can instantly divert almost 100 percent of rear-axle driving torque to the wheel with the most grip, helping your Bronco Sport dig its way out of trouble that would stop any other small SUV in its tracks. Upping the ante is the Bronco Sport's available Terrain Management system, with seven available modes to fine-tune drivetrain systems to the task at hand, including Normal, Eco, Sport, Slippery and Sand; Mud/Ruts and Rock Crawl mode. Keeping rocks, logs and other obstacles from mulching your drivetrain are four steel bash plates, while frame-mounted tow hooks let you give a tow to stuck Jeeps you might happen past on the trail. Badlands and First Edition Bronco Sports are even designed to ford up to two feet of water without damage. Providing the push to your weekend fun will be either the 2.0-liter EcoBoost turbo engine, with best-in-class 245 horsepower and 275 lb.-ft. of torque, or the 1.5-liter EcoBoost engine with a 181 horsepower and 190 lb.-ft. of torque. Both will be backed by an eight-speed automatic, with some editions equipped with steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters. To make cleanup after muddy fun easier, the Badlands and First Edition Bronco Sport models will feature washable rubber flooring throughout the passenger cabin, plus easy-clean cloth seats and silicone sealed, weatherproof switches and knobs. Is the 2021 Ford Bronco Sport safe? As if you have to ask! Every Bronco Sport will come equipped with Ford Co-Pilot360, a suite of advanced driver-assist technologies that includes Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking featuring Pedestrian Detection, Forward Collision Warning and Dynamic Brake Support, Blind Spot Information System with Cross-Traffic Alert, Lane-Keeping System, Auto High Beam Headlamps and a rearview camera.
