Iconic Ford logo hits the runway, with legendary design house Versace | McLarty Daniel Ford

Though our sense of high fashion pretty much stops at jeans and three-button golf shirts here at McLarty Daniel Ford, we do love Ford’s iconic Blue Oval logo. Now it appears haute couture clothing design house Versace Fashion has a thing for it as well. In a unique partnership between Ford Motor Company and Versace, the pioneering fashion label had top models sporting the Ford logo while strutting the catwalk during this year’s Milan Fashion Week in Milan, Italy in January.
Part of the label’s “The Versace Man” collection, which debuted at Milan Fashion Week, the Ford logo was prominently featured on a variety of Versace designs in the show, including pants, shirts, skirts, hooded sweatshirts and a one-off leather jacket designed to emulate the feel of an old-school Ford racing jacket.
According to a news release from Versace, The Versace Man collection “reflects on the modern concept of man, an idea of masculinity that pushes the boundaries and breaks the rules of menswear by challenging notions and stereotypes. Only a confident man is able to see beyond the status quo and challenge it. This newly found attitude gives him the freedom and security to ignore conventional norms around beauty, and even more so, around masculinity.”
While the partnership might strike some Ford fans as an odd pairing, executives at Ford say it represents a cutting-edge trend in corporate marketing and fashion, with the logos of iconic brands being seen more for their design than the products they sell.
“We’re seeing a lot of luxury brands pairing with iconic brands that are kind of opposite,” Joy Falotico, chief marketing officer for Ford, told the Detroit Free Press. “There’s a clothing brand called Supreme, and they partnered with McDonald’s, and [fashion designer] Marc Jacobs did something with MTV. Coca-Cola has done a lot of branding. That’s why we weren’t really that shocked.”
The limited edition collection featuring the Ford logo will be sold at Versace stores worldwide. For more information, check out this story on the unique partnership between Ford and Versace from the Detroit Free Press.

If you have loads to tow and haul that even the incredible 2019 Ford F-150 can’t handle, Ford just premiered a powerful new solution: the redesigned 2020 Ford Super Duty! Packed full of styling, power and features to make even the toughest workday shorter, the 2020 Ford Super Duty is a game changer, with the highest conventional, gooseneck and fifth-wheel towing numbers in Ford’s over 100 year history. Want to buy a 2020 Ford Super Duty in Bentonville? You’ve got a bit to wait yet, as the all-new Super Duty isn’t scheduled to hit the lot at McLarty Daniel Ford until this fall. For now, read on for everything we know about the next-gen tow rig from Ford.
With all the major heavy duty truck makers bringing in big numbers, Ford knew they had to go big or go home on power train options and boy, did they.
For those who prefer gasoline power, the 2020 Ford Super Duty will feature an all-new 7.3-liter V8. While horsepower and torque numbers haven’t been released yet, Ford promises it will be the most powerful gasoline V8 in its class, with world-class durability, ease of maintenance, towing and hauling. The engine will reportedly be a cam-in-block overhead valve architecture, with a cast iron block and forged steel crankshaft for bombproof durability. Built for sustained, heavy work, the engine will feature trick techniques like variable valve timing and oil jets to cool the pistons under heavy loads.
For those who prefer the low-end torque and fuel economy of diesel, there’s the third-generation 6.7-liter Power Stroke. Always looking to make a great engine even more robust, Ford engineers have strengthened the cylinder head, block, connecting rods and bearings to handle higher cylinder pressures and power output. Those changes will be welcome, given the new Power Stroke’s electronic-activated variable geometry turbocharger that inproves efficiency and throttle response, and a new fuel injection system that sprays fuel up to eight times per stroke at 36,000 psi to get the ultimate power out of every drop of diesel while reducing noise levels and optimizing combustion. Ford hasn’t released power numbers on the 6.7-liter Power Stroke, but they’re bound to be considerable.
The 2020 Ford Super Duty will also offer a 6.2-liter gasoline V8 as standard power.
Any of the three available engines can be backed by the all-new 10-speed TorqShift transmission. Featuring a wider gear ratio span than the six-speed it replaces, the TorqShift 10-speed was built from a clean sheet of paper to thrive in the harshest towing conditions, and includes advanced features like line-drive power takeoff, which allows the driver to engage and operate equipment like snowplows and winches without shifting the truck into park. The transmission also features selectable drive modes that include normal, tow/haul, eco, slippery, and deep sand and snow.
“With the addition of the 7.3-liter V8, upgrades to our 6.7-liter and the debut of an all-new 10-speed transmission, we are delivering the strongest, most capable Super Duty powertrain offerings yet,” said Mike Pruitt, Ford Super Duty chief engineer.

From literally creating the assembly line to today’s cutting edge engine, safety and information systems, Ford has been at the forefront of automotive engineering for over 100 years, building the future through innovation and drive that defines the brand.
That commitment to innovation was recently put to the test when drift car racer and Gymkhana star Ken Block approached Ford with a problem: how to create an intricate, impossible-to-cast or machine twin-turbo intake for the 3.5-liter Ford EcoBoost V6 — the same engine that powers the incredible 2019 Ford GT — he planned to install in his wildest creation: an all-wheel-drive 1977 Ford F-150 he calls The Hoonitruck. Block was building the truck for the latest in his Gymkhana drift racing videos, Gymkhana TEN.
To make this “impossible intake” a reality, Ford turned to the newest tool in their mission to create the future of driving: a printer that can make functional, three-dimensional metal objects by using powerful lasers to melt powder into solid shapes, building them up one paper-thin layer at a time. Also called additive manufacturing, 3D printing is the manufacturing process of tomorrow, and could someday allow everyone from Ford engineers to at-home mechanics to literally print close-tolerance steel or aluminum parts quickly and easily on a workbench instead of having them cast or machined and then shipped.
“We are fortunate to have access to incredible technology, but this was one project that pushed us – and our computing power – to the absolute limit,” said Raphael Koch, engineer, Advanced Materials and Processes with Ford of Europe. “The manifold has a complex web‑like structure that couldn’t be made using traditional manufacturing methods.”
Designed and computer simulated by Ford engineers in the U.S. and Europe, the intake for Block’s Hoonitruck was created over five days with the assistance of the Aachen Digital Additive Production Institute in Germany, When completed, the intake achieved a milestone for Ford and the future of 3D printing technology as the largest and most intricate 3D printed metal part ever produced and installed on a working vehicle. Just as impressive, the unique airflow properties of the intake, which weighs a little over 13 pounds, helped The Hoonitruck produce more than 900 horsepower.
“I think Ford did an exceptional job,” said Block. “This is my favorite part of the ‘Hoonitruck’. You could not have made it any other way.”
Check out this very cool video from Ford for a brief recap of the process by which Block’s impossible intake was created: https://youtu.be/6GsuRCGEZno
And if you want to see The Hoonitruck using every one of those 900 ponies — alongside four other incredible Ford drift racing machines — check out Ken Block in Gymkhana Ten right here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m_KBvP0_8Tc

We’ve all been there: minutes to go before an appointment, date or meeting downtown, and you’re left circling, circling, circling, looking desperately for a free parking spot. And when you do find one? It’s usually too tight of a squeeze for you to confidently parallel park. As you sit there, judging your skill at parallel parking against that tight space, somebody behind you gets impatient and starts honking.
Parking headaches are something we all share. According to a 2017 study by connected car services provider INRIX, drivers nationwide are burning precious hours — yes, hours — every year looking for a precious parking spot. Residents of New York City, for instance, spend an average of 107 hours per year looking for a parking spot. In Los Angeles, it’s 85 hours. In San Francisco, 83 hours. Nationwide, the average is 17 hours per year, just looking for a parking spot.
If you’ve got better things to do with your time than look for a parallel parking spot, check out the peppy, nimble, reliable 2019 Ford EcoSport. The most compact SUV in America at only 161.3 inches long, the 2019 Ford EcoSport goes big on styling, features, safety and interior room, besting competitors in cargo capacity even though it has a shorter wheelbase and overall length. That bigger-on-the-inside trick is thanks to features like a rear cargo floor that is adjustable to three handy positions and flip-and-fold seats that can create a flat cargo floor from the rear bumper to the dash if need be.
How does the 2019 Ford EcoSport shape up against the competitors in its class? Let’s look at some numbers:
More cargo room than Mini Countryman, but 8.5 inches shorter
More cargo room than Buick Encore, but seven inches shorter
More cargo room than Mazda CX-3, but seven inches shorter
More cargo room than Chevy Trax, but six inches shorter
What are you going to do with the 17 hours you won’t have to spend looking for a parking spot this year? Better figure it out, because with the 2019 Ford EcoSport, you’ll have a little more time on your hands. Ready to buy a 2019 Ford EcoSport in Fayetteville, Rogers or Springdale? Then make the short drive to McLarty Daniel Ford in Bentonville, or check out our selection of 2019 Ford EcoSport models online. With a great mix of styling, safety and performance in a compact, cargo-hungry package, the 2019 Ford EcoSport is the small SUV that can turn you into a parallel-parking pro!

In the history of racing, there are very few names that cast a longer shadow than Shelby. Ford Mustangs bearing the Shelby name are some of the fastest and most desirable muscle cars ever built. Set to outpace them all, however, is the all-new Mustang Shelby GT500. Ford’s answer to the top-tier pony car offerings by Dodge and Chevy isn’t fooling around. With a supercharged 5.2-liter V8 producing more than 700 horsepower, it’s the most powerful street-legal Ford in the company’s hundred year history.
After months on teasing on social media and the automotive press, Ford finally took the wraps off the 2020 Mustang Shelby GT500 at the 2019 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, with Ford President Jim Farley using the opportunity to pay homage to Carroll Shelby.
“Carroll was always working on the next faster Shelby,” Farley said. “I think he would love this Mustang more than any other. A takedown artist, the new Shelby GT500 will surprise supercar owners with its Ford Performance racing tech, supercharged engine and visceral swagger.”
Arriving at dealerships this fall, the 2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 will join it’s more sedate but still formidable cousin, the Mustang Shelby GT350. Under the hood is a hand-built, all-aluminum 5.2-liter V8 capped with a 2.65-liter roots-type supercharger with an integrated air-to-liquid intercooler, pushing boost through high-flow cylinder heads to a short block with larger forged connecting rods, a flat-plane crank and improved oiling and cooling. A structural oil pan with a patented “active baffle” system buttons up the bottom end. Final horsepower numbers weren’t released, but Ford promises “700-plus,” which will put it on par or better with the Camaro ZL1 and Dodge Challenger Hellcat.
Sending that power rearward is a TREMEC 7-speed dual-clutch transmission which Ford says can shift in less than 100 milliseconds, and which includes driver-adjustable modes including normal, slippery, sport, drag and track, with line-lock front braking for easy dragstrip burnouts, and a rpm-selectable launch control for picture perfect quarter mile launches. A carbon fiber driveshaft sends power to a high-performance rear end, then down to Shelby-specific forged alloy rims running Michelin Pilot 4S tires. Bringing the halt at the largest front brake rotors ever installed from the factory on a sport coupe: gargantuan 16.5-inch two piece rotors, with six-piston calipers by racing provider Brembo.
Two handling packages will be available. The standard Handling Package includes adjustable struts, and a large rear spoiler. For true track performance, up the ante with the Carbon Fiber Track Package, with 20-inch carbon fiber rims, Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires, an adjustable carbon fiber wing out back and a functional splitter up front. You’ll have to leave the kids at home, though, as the package deletes the rear seat to save weight.
Visually, the 2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 is all about attitude, with a double-front grille opening, classic Shelby Cobra emblems, and a more pronounced hood bulge and a 31 inch by 28 inch louvered hood vent with removable alloy rain tray. Inside, there’s race-inspired trim and materials, including extensive use of carbon fiber, available Recaro racing seats with functional bolstering and cutouts for a five point racing harness, and more. Front and center is a new 12-inch full-color LCD instrument cluster, plus available premium audio by B&O Play, controlled by the 8-inch SYNC3 touch screen.
Do you have what it takes to handle the incredible power and head-turning looks of the 2020 Ford Mustang GT500? Here at McLarty Daniel Ford, we’re counting the days until the all-new 2019 Ford Ranger models start rolling off the transports. It’s been seven years since the last new Ranger was sold, and for those who love the styling, economy, capability and nimble handling of a great mid-sized pickup, the wait until the January release of the new 2019 Ford Ranger is likely to be slower than Christmas. With best-in-class towing and hauling, built-Ford-tough engineering, and incredible styling, the 2019 Ranger is sure to be a hot commodity when it finally arrives.
The good news is: Ford anticipated all the chomping at the bit that’s going on among Ford Ranger fans, and set up an online configurator where you can pre-order your 2019 Ford Ranger exactly the way you want it. Instead of just choosing from the selection we’ll have here on the lot, you can make your 2019 Ford Ranger absolutely your own, right down to the body color, floor mats, alloy wheel style and bedcover, with the system keeping track of all the options you select before spitting out a full purchase price and even the monthly payment you can expect to pay on 36-month financing or lease.
The online ordering system is available at this link
The configurator starts with your choice of three trim levels: XL (starting at $24,300), XLT (starting at $27,940), or Lariat (starting at $32,210), with each displaying a short rundown of standard features available on that particular model. On the same page, you’ll be asked to specify whether you want the extended-cab with a six-foot cargo box or the four-door Supercrew with a five-foot box, along with either 4×2 or 4×4 running gear.
Once you select a trim level and drivetrain, you’ll be moved to another window with more equipment and detail options, including six different exterior paint choices, available interior color choices, and technology equipment groups, which allow you to either stick with the standard touchscreen and audio system, or upgrade to a more advanced system with features including more interior speakers and 4G Wi-Fi connectivity.
Scrolling down, you’ll find the same page includes options for Exterior Packages, including the bed utility package, Ford’s Co-Pilot 360 suite of advanced driver-assistance features, the trailer towing package, the STX Appearance package, and more. Scrolling down even further gives you several alloy wheel options along with checkable boxes to opt for features like spray in bedliner, a tonneau cover for the bed, different rear axle ratios, optional tires, seating options, floor covering options, cold weather accessories and much more. Every choice you make in the configurator is reflected in the price at monthly payment at the top of the page.

Every time you have to stop at the gas pump, that’s less money you could be spending on the fun stuff, and less time to get out there and seek adventure. The good news is: you’ll be making fewer of those stops in the all-new 2019 Ford Ranger. Ford recently announced that with an EPA-estimated fuel economy rating of 21 miles per gallon in the city and a whopping 26 miles per gallon on the highway, the 2019 Ranger has been certified as the most fuel-efficient gasoline-powered midsize truck in America!
Even when configured with notoriously fuel-hungry 4×4 running gear, Ford’s cutting edge engineering helps fight the parasitic four-wheel-drive powertrain dip in fuel economy, meaning the 2019 Ford Ranger still delivers EPA-estimated fuel economy of 20 mpg in the city and 24 mpg highway! That makes the 2019 Ford Ranger also the current record-holder for best four-wheel-drive fuel economy of any gasoline-powered midsize truck.
While there was a time when great fuel mileage meant taking a serious hit in power and torque, Built Ford Tough engineering is there again, with the standard power of the 2.3-liter EcoBoost turbocharged four-cylinder, which delivers 310 lb.-ft. of torque and 270 horsepower. That’s the most torque of any gas engine, four-cylinder or V6, in the midsize truck segment.
Backed by the exclusive 10-speed transmission to help the 2.3-liter EcoBoost stay in the power and torque sweet spot, the 2019 Ford Ranger delivers best-in-class maximum towing of an incredible 7,500 pounds when properly equipped, with equally-impressive, best-in-class maximum hauling of 1,860 pounds.
“Midsize truck customers have been asking for a pickup that’s Built Ford Tough,” said Todd Eckert, Ford Truck group marketing manager. “Ranger will deliver with durability, capability and fuel efficiency, while also providing in-city maneuverability and the freedom desired by many midsize pickup truck buyers to go off the grid.”
Currently under production at Ford’s legendary Michigan Assembly Plant, the 2019 Ford Ranger will start arriving at dealers in January, and we’re counting the days here at McLarty Daniel Ford. Are you ready to buy a 2019 Ford Ranger in Bentonville? Then stop in today at McLarty Daniel Ford and get the process started that will lead to the driver’s seat of a new Ranger and the keys in your hand. Come see us today!

Ford marks nine straight months of F-150 sales over 70,000, while other Ford models show strong growth ‘ McLarty Daniel Ford
Though a lot has changed in the past 41 years, one thing that hasn’t is Ford F-150’s status as America’s best-selling truck. That’s a long time to be King of the Hill, but with a great mix of styling, technology, capability and performance, Ford F-150 looks poised to remain at the head of the pack for years to come. A good predictor that Ford F-150’s market dominance shows no time of ending anytime soon is a recent sales report from Ford Motor Company on the continuation of a record sales streak for Ford trucks, with Ford reporting that in November, Ford F-150 had again sold over 70,000 units for the ninth straight month! That’s almost two new Ford F-150 trucks sold per minute, every hour of every day, for nine consecutive months!
November sales of new Ford F-Series models were 72,102 trucks.
In a report issued on December 1, Ford reported the continuing record sales of the popular Ford F-150, along with similar, record-breaking sales for other models. Sales of the Ford Expedition, for instance, were up 7.9 percent for November, with top-level trims like Platinum and Limited driving most of the growth. Sales of the Ford Transit cargo van, the world’s best selling work and delivery van, were also up by 10 percent in November when compared to last year, while the smaller, city-friendly Ford Transit Connect van was up by 17 percent.
Lincoln, which is produced under the Ford Motor Company umbrella, also recorded record-breaking sales. According to Ford, the 2019 Lincoln Navigator Black Label, the highest level trim package of the popular luxury SUV, lingered an average of just 14 days on dealer lots before sale. Similarly, the new 2019 Lincoln Nautilus has been well-received by the public, with the average model staying on dealer lots just nine days before purchase, and sales up by 27.3 percent.
“F-Series marked a record none straight months topping the 70,000 truck mark” said Ford Vice President for U.S. Marketing, Sales and Service Mark LaNeve, “a consistent performance by a high-volume, high margin product unmatched in the industry. Sales of our all new Expedition and Transit Connect continue to grow, as does our mix of trucks, SUVs and vans. This mix totaled 82 percent in November, boosting our transaction pricing to a new record of $37,000 per vehicle.”

1) The ‘hero’ car from ‘Bullitt’
In the history of great “Car Movies,” there are few that come close to the stature and influence of 1968’s “Bullitt.” Starring the late Steve McQueen as Frank Bullitt, a San Francisco police detective who runs afoul of the mob, the film includes one of the greatest car chases ever put to celluloid, with McQueen (doing his own stunt driving) pursuing a ’68 Dodge Charger through the streets of San Francisco in a Highland Green ’68 Mustang 390 GT Fastback at speeds topping 110 miles per hour. After the film was completed, the “hero car” used in close ups was repainted and sold to a Warner Brothers employee, who later sold it to an actual police detective in New Jersey. In 1974, an insurance salesman named Robert Kiernan, also of New Jersey, bought the car from a classified ad in the back of Road & Track Magazine for around $6,000. Though McQueen himself reached out to Kiernan about purchasing the car a few years prior to his untimely death, the Mustang remained in the Kiernan family for the next four decades, soon attaining legendary status among Mustang fans as a famous “lost” movie car. Many assumed it and the visually-similar “jump car” used in the movie had been scrapped or crushed. Kiernan and his wife used the Bullitt Mustang as a daily driver until 1981, when it was parked. The family later moved to a farm near Nashville, Tennessee, where the Mustang remained hidden for years, even as Ford released the “Bullitt” tribute edition Ford Mustang in 2001. Sadly, Robert Kiernan passed away in 2014. In 2016, his son, Sean, approached Ford Motor Company and revealed the existence of the car. After Mustang experts confirmed that the car was, in fact, the “hero” car from “Bullitt,” the priceless ‘Stang was reintroduced to the world at a gala event at the 2018 Detroit Motor Show, alongside the all-new 2019 Bullitt Mustang. Since then, the car has been one of 20 significant automobiles fully documented by the Historic Vehicles Association, with records archived in the Library of Congress, and has even been displayed in a glass case on the National Mall in Washington D.C. along with other significant automobiles
2) The ‘Bullitt’ stunt car
Like the “hero” car from “Bullitt,” the externally-identical “jump car” from the film was sold off soon after filming was completed. While the car had its interior stripped and its suspension and body reinforced for stunt work, it was heavily damaged while doing jumps over the hills in San Francisco, including a nose-down hit that folded the front fenders and hood. Because of this significant damage, many Mustang experts assumed the car had been sent to the scrapyard after filming and had long since been crushed. That was the general consensus until 2016, when a Baja, Mexico body-shop owner named Ralph Garcia, Jr. purchased the forlorn shell of a 1968 Mustang fastback from a local backyard, with the goal of turning it into a replica of the “Eleanor” Mustang from the 2000 remake of “Gone in 60 Seconds.” Though the white-spraypainted Mustang didn’t look like much, after typing the Vehicle Identification Number into a online database, however, Garcia soon realised that he had found the four-wheeled equivalent of the Holy Grail: the long-lost “Bullitt” stunt car, potentially worth hundreds of thousands of dollars. According to people Garcia talked to, the stripped car had been abandoned in Baja for over 30 years. To this day, no one knows exactly how it wound up being saved from the scrapheap and wound up sitting in a backyard south of the border. The good news is, once the car was confirmed by Ford Mustang experts to be the second “Bullitt” Mustang, it went on to be fully restored and has since toured the U.S. in celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the film.
3) Carroll Shelby’s ’67 GT500 Prototype ‘Lil Red’
When it comes to big names associated with Ford Performance, they don’t get any bigger than Carroll Shelby, whose original, iconic Shelby Cobras and Mustangs are now legendary machines commanding prices topping a million dollars. Even among Shelby Mustangs, however, they don’t get rarer than Shelby’s GT500 Experimental Prototype, which Shelby himself nicknamed “Lil Red” while using the car as an experimental test bed in cooperation with Ford. The car featured a number of firsts and near-firsts, including being one of only two “notchback” Mustang coupes to ever wear the Shelby logo (the other being Lil Red’s prototype stablemate, nicknamed “Green Hornet”), the first Mustang coupe equipped with a 428 big block, the second Mustang built with a 428 among all body styles, the only Mustang coupe factory-equipped with a 428 big block in the 1967 model year, and several other distinctions. While in Shelby’s possession, the car was used to develop many of the now-iconic styling, engine and suspension upgrades later used on Shelby Mustangs throughout the 1960s, including the distinctive Shelby front hood, grille, emblems, rear spoiler and tail lights. Once the car had outlived its usefulness as a test bed, Lil’ Red was returned to Ford Motor Company around 1969. Many assumed Ford had the car crushed, as is the fate of many concept, prototype and experimental cars. Though Mustang fanatics looked for Lil Red in vain for decades, it wasn’t until the spring of 2018 that a team led by Craig Jackson, CEO of Barrett-Jackson Automobile Auctions, had the idea to run a search for the car not using its unique Shelby American Vehicle Identification Number, but the VIN the car bore when it was originally delivered to Shelby by Ford. Lo and behold, running that VIN delivered a hit in Texas, and on March 3, 2018, Jackson announced that the shell of Lil’ Red had been located on a rural ranch in North Texas, where it had sat in a private junkyard for over two decades. Efforts to figure out just how the car got there are ongoing, though it is known that the car was sold on a used car lot at least once in its mysterious, missing years. Though Lil Red had been stripped of its engine, transmission, interior and front sheetmetal during its nearly 40 years out of the spotlight, the national treasure has since been purchased from its Texas owner and will be meticulously restored with funding by Barrett-Jackson, Pennzoil and Shell. You can follow along with the restoration of Lil Red online at: shelbyprototypecoupes.com

1) Because there’s no better looking truck: Come on! Just look at the 2019 Ford F-150! Sleek, modern and bold without making the desperate plays for attention you’ll find in the designs of other new trucks (looking in your direction, Chevrolet Silverado), the 2019 F-150 just exudes class and confidence, with design that makes a great impression everywhere you go.
2) Because it has best in class towing: While other brands tout their toughness, it’s good to be king, and the 2019 Ford F-150 is the undisputed king when it comes to towing, with best-in-class maximum towing of 13,200 pounds when properly equipped. That’s the best in its class, gas or diesel.
3) Because it’s also got best in class payload: You want a showboat, or a truck that can work for a living? Beautiful as it may be, the 2019 Ford F-150 is a workhorse, able to carry up to 3,000 pounds, soundly beating the 2019 Ram 1500 and 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500.
4) Because it has class-exclusive Pro-Trailer Backup Assist: For those new to towing — and even some old hands — there’s nothing more daunting that backing up a trailer, especially when you’re maneuvering through restricted spaces or around corners. The 2019 Ford F-150 can make you an instant trailer-backing pro, however, with Pro-Trailer Backup Assist. Just turn a knob on the dash in the direction you want your trailer to go, and it’ll steer around corners or obstacles like magic.
5) Because highway miles are easier with Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop and Go: Is there anything more frustrating than driving in traffic? That frustration is a thing of the past with the 2019 Ford F-150’s adaptive cruise control with stop and go. Set the cruise control and forget it, because when activated, the system can sense and maintain the distance between you and the vehicle in front of you on the highway. If that car slows down or even stops, the system will adjust your speed to maintain a safe distance, and can even bring your vehicle to a complete stop if traffic is heavy, and take off when things get moving.
6) Because it has the most innovative pickup box in the industry: The heart of a truck is the pickup bed, and the 2019 Ford F-150 innovates there as well, with features like the flexible Boxlink system, with LED lighting, deployable box side steps, stowable ramps, an integrated tailgate step with lift-assist, remote tailgate release, and more.
7) Because F-150 has a six-engine lineup, including an all-new Powerstroke turbodiesel!: Whether you need gas V6, V8 or turbodiesel power, the 2019 Ford F-150 has you covered, from the 2.7liter EcoBoost turbo putting out a robust 325 horsepower and 400 lb.-ft. of torque, to the legendary 5.0 V8 with 395 hp and 400 lb.-ft. of grunt. Want legendary diesel longevity and torque? Check out the all-new 3.0-liter Powerstroke turbodiesel, with a whopping 440 lb.-ft. of torque, for 11,400 pounds of towing muscle.
8) Because the F-150 Limited now features the 3.5-liter Raptor V6!: With its burly looks and desert-runner powertrain, the 450-horsepower Ford F-150 Raptor is a beast, but it’s not for everybody. For those who want a Raptor in sheep’s clothing, the top-of-the-line 2019 Ford F-150 Limited trim now comes standard with the same 3.5-liter, twin-turbo EcoBoost V6 from the Raptor, in a much more conservative shell. With the Limited in two-wheel-drive trim and around 1,600 pounds lighter than the 4×4 F-150 Raptor, that power is going to make for a heck of a lot of fun in the 2019 Ford F-150 Limited!
9) Because it’s been the best selling pickup for 41 years!: No fooling! The Ford F-150 is now entering its fifth decade of being America’s best-selling full-size truck, and that streak shows no sign of being broken any time soon. That long, long selling streak tells you a lot about the styling, toughness and longevity of the Ford F-150, which has been satisfying the toughest and most demanding customers in the world since the Bee Gees were at the top of the charts.
10) Because of F-150’s legendary off-road capability: The Ford F-150 is known around the world for its unstoppable off-road performance, and the 2019 Ford F-150 carries on that tradition by mixing bombproof running gear and cutting edge technology like seven selectable modes to help you conquer specific conditions and terrain, and Trail Control, which is like cruise control for low-speed crawling, managing acceleration and braking force to individual wheels for maximum traction.
